Re: The Heist - OOC
Sorry, I started a new job this week, and things have been pretty hectic
I'll try and get an update done by tomorrow night, but this weekend is looking just as busy (moving into a new flat on Saturday) so don't count on it

He did set up a tab.
But then he also left the name of his cover identity, and the bartender knows Kytiel/Uragh are his "friends", sooo....

Re: The Heist - OOC
I just want to know what it looks like, not specifically what's painted. Is it a portrait, a landscape, or...?
I mean I could roll to see if Veska recognizes it if you want, but that's not what I'm asking for

It's an abstract piece, designed to show the futility of life, and the suffering caused by man's relentless pursuit of happiness and wealth at the cost of all that matters, including his own soul.

Re: The Heist - OOC
That's cool, just figured you hadn't posted in a while so might need a poke. I started my new job 2 weeks ago and moved into a new flat this weekend, so I know all about how hard getting settled is!
And European floor numbering, obviously. We aren't savages
Also, can I have a Stealth roll from you as well? Plus some Stealth/Perception rolls from Vader.

Heh, would be awesome if I find a place to live within the two first weeks of getting my job. Luckily I have a nice grandma that accept catching pokemons once in a while as rent
I keep forgetting I can use guidance to improve my rolls.. remembered this time luckily.
Vatro stealth: 1D20+1D4+7 = [6]+[3]+7 = 16

Re: The Heist - OOC
Technically you need to cast Guidance each time before you act, and it's got Verbal and Somantic components, so it's not great when you're trying to be stealthy. I've been letting it slide so far because you've been in out of sight enough for it not to matter, or your rolls have been good enough that it doesn't change anything anyway

Re: The Heist - OOC
Rolls!
Perception and Stealth going down Office stairs: 1D20+3 = [18]+3 = 21
1D20+7 = [5]+7 = 12
Also Veska is invisible to Darkvision, which I think means things that use it have Disadvantage on Perception checks to notice her? I'm not sure on that.

Re: The Heist - OOC
Yeah, the mechanics of invisibility aren't very clear, are they?
By RAW it basically makes the user heavily obscured at all times, so you can always make Hide checks. Enemies also have disadvantage on attack rolls against you, even if they know you're there. So it technically doesn't give you any advantages on Stealth rolls - except for allowing you to make those rolls even when there's nothing to Hide behind.
That said, the main out-of-combat advantage I can think of is that, even if you do get spotted, they won't actually see you. They'll know there's something skulking around, but not necessarily a Kobold called Veska. Hence the problem Vatro is having right now

Re: The Heist - OOC
@Thinks: You get Advantage on that Persuasion roll because of the Charm Person effect.
Also it's only been half-an-hour so far - your spells should run out around the time you reach the city walls. If you get lucky, they might last long enough for...whatever is about to happen. You can try recasting them earlier if you want, but you'll have to make a Deception check and Disadvantaged Sleight of Hand check to hide your voice/movements from him.
(The Deception roll would also be Disadvantaged normally, except you've got the Charm effect cancelling that out.)

Re: The Heist - OOC
cool, I wasn't sure on timings, but just keep me right when you need those rolls - I don't want the spells to expire just because I misunderstood the timings
Will add a 2nd persuasion roll to my post now. 2 secs.
