One amusing detail that stood out in this strip was where Durkon rhymes "me" with "ye", and in the next panel Belkar says "you--YOU!" There's no crossover between the two conversations, but having them next to each other in the strip makes it look like Belkar is correcting Durkon's grammar.

Belkar seems to have a charm which activates when nearly dead....
Mr. Scruffy activated it while pawing Belkar. What isn't clear to me is why turning off the domination effect would make Belkar wake up. He was down because Roy slammed him and knocked him out. Activating a Protection from Evil charm, which hurts Belkar because he's Evil, shouldn't bring him back from unconsciousness, and if he wasn't unconscious, then why was he down? He was still dominated, he should have been fighting for the vampire as long as he was capable of it.

I get Belkar now. I completely forgot about the Protection from Evil charm. I think the pain from the charm is what woke him up. Unless pain can't wake you up from being knocked out? I don't know the rules for that.

Rules-wise, there's nothing to that effect. But it'd be a decent houserule, and it's really great as a story-beat which diverges from the rules, as even a story like OOTS or Goblins inevitably must.

So does this count as the death the Kobold Oracle talked about for Belkar?

He certainly hasn't died yet. He might be about to.

He's been doing really well with the not dying. I'm starting to think he might survive until the Xykon battle.

Yeah, I had a brain fart. I commented before I read the rest of the comments, and thought it was a "everybody died" victory for Durkula, instead of leaving some alive.

1131 A Heartfelt Moment
► Show Spoiler
RIP Durkon and Durkula. I wonder what the last surviving vampire in the room, as well as the Exarch and Nameless and anyone else I'm forgetting, will do now that they're free. Conveniently Belkar killed the one who was unquestionably going to still be Evil even without Durkula's dominance.

I think he's raging from the Barbarian level he took way back, like when MM pulled off the jump-and-throw manoeuvre in the Maze of Many tower room. That's why he's so angry and has an aura.

No, this particular aura definitely matches the strip where he first acquired the Protection from Evil charm (somewhere around strip 1000, in the gnome town). I don't believe his barbarian rages have shown any kind of visible effect like Thog's; he just looks angrier than usual, so it's pretty hard to tell whether he has +4 STR or not.

It was clearly his own idea.

1131 Afterdeath
► Show Spoiler
The Giant found an interesting way to keep Durkon (and Minrah) in the storyline, even though it's likely that Hilgya will be replacing him in the Order. (They might just have her Resurrect him, but she seems unlikely to cooperate with such an agenda.)
I'm presuming that Eugene is going to show up and speak with Durkon at some point. Not sure whether Durkon will have the opportunity to pass this along to the Order, or if it will just be to-the-audience foreshadowing. After that, though, I'm hoping we'll take advantage of this opportunity to show what happens when someone dies really-for-real.

1133 Call Answering
Okay, still with this group, fine. I can't wait to find out what's happening elsewhere (several elsewheres, actually), but I guess I have to.

1134 A Mile In His Shoes
► Show Spoiler
I'm still eager to get back to the Order of the Stick, but for the first time, I am equally eager to see the next strip in the current scene. Rich once said that Thor was a joy for him to write, and that the strip would be at risk of becoming "The Order of Thor" if he didn't restrain himself. So now I want to see what he's been sitting on all these years.

Someone was annoyed, zapped a tree or two, and now all Dwarves fight trees?
Talk about religion again.

This one's title is baffling once you've read the strip:
1137 But It Probably Won't Come Up
► Show Spoiler
Begins in mid-sentence, ends on an ellipsis (and a great tweak at the audience, which "got" me specifically in a two-panel timeframe). A better strip than the last one, but I'm still impatient, waiting for the actual payoff to arrive.

Evil trees.
Act surprised if it comes up later.
Good stuff. It also makes me feel like there's more of the story left than I suspected, which is great. I don't really want it to end.
