Re: The Sundered Way
The scouts head out in advance of the wagons, and everyone remains on alert, but the rest of the night passes without incident as you push well into the morning, arriving at the well hot, tired, and dusty. You've enough time to get your crude sun shelters in place before the heat of the day hits, but you've pushed yourselves to get here and you're all feeling it.

Nem will stay up with Holger since they seem to be on good terms again.

It's a quiet night day for the most part. Things are hot enough that there isn't much out there causing trouble. You wake each other in turn, and eventually night arrives.

Randy goes over to the well with the rope and gets it ready for Coljin. He checks the rope carefully to make sure it's still in good shape for the task at hand. Any excessively frayed spots, he cuts out and end splices the rope back together.

Re: The Sundered Way
Coljin smiles in appreciation at Randy’s diligence for safety. He and hopefully illy are ready for the last cleansing. He smiles ruefully as he puts on the cloak of the manta ray. He knows it may be the last time he uses it in a long time and he’s actually come to enjoy being underwater with it. He says to Zephyr, “When we get to the coast I really would like to use this again when not confined to a well.”

"That was my idea all along, that and it reminds me of some ocean visits many many years ago." Zephyr smiled and quickly turned away, not wanting any tears to come unbidden to her eyes.

Re: The Sundered Way
The wind must have kicked up some dust or something as Coljin suits up with the help of Randy and Zephyr to take another trip down into a well.
He's lowered down on the long rope, Ily riding in the bucket along side him on a second rope. As they descend, the smell gets worse and worse, a wet fetid rot of waterlogged.
((I'll take a CON save from Coljin and Ily.))

(That might not help. It could be some sort of posion or disease. Or it won't cover it up entirely.)

Little Ily horks up a glob of vomit that fractures as it falls into twinkling fey dust that eventually poofs out of existence before it hits water.

Re: The Sundered Way
Maji looks out into the desert while Coljin is diving.
Per: 1D20+5 = [2]+5 = 7
Assuming Maji sees nothing, he starts ritually casting locate plant/animal, searching for a large sized animal.

Coljin manages not to vomit, but just barely. He's feeling a bit dizzy and unwell, the air seemingly growing thicker and harder to breathe as he continues to descend.
Maji spends ten minutes casting his spell, only to have it fizzle.

Coljin will spend a first level spell slot to cast purify food and water quickly and cast it underneath him where he thinks the water level will begin. Hoping that will help the stench a bit.
"Slow down a bit with the rope," he yells, "Something is different this time. SMELLS MUCH WORSE."

Randy is up top listening.
perception: 1D20+3 = [15]+3 = 18
He stops the rope from lower further and yells down to Coljin, "Do you need to come back up?"

Ah I assume that's not a proper description I can do for the spell. He'll start ritual casting for...hmm giant spider.

"Got it!" Randy (and whoever is helping him) will hold on lowering the rope any further.
