8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
That is an insane strength stat! That much rock can't be light. I'm really curious to see how the goblins get out of this.

I think the key word here is "insane". Ol' Kore's definitely got a knock in his engine.

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
Much more interesting is the question: how do the goblins move the golem? Because punching etc. requires arms and hands being moved by the characters, so what about running, jumping and so on?

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
Magic. You do the movement, but you're magically kept in place on a treadmill.
More interesting becomes the position senior is in now. If the position of the golem is changed through outside forces, does the wearer of the helmet get put in the same position? Complains didn't seem to get damage from the cut to the side the golem got, but that is still different.
Also, the golem crushes the ground it steps on when it uses some forces, Korre should be about the same weight with all his armor on. How come they're not crashing through the floor?
Lastly, we're missing some steps between "Golem is sitting on the back of our favorite paladin (splayed out on the floor, face forward), being controlled by a monk who probably should know how to do a chokehold or atleast properly pin someone" to "Angry dwarf is standing back up with golem above him, not being able to resist."
Feels like we've been yadda-yadda'd

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
So this seems to be what happened:
1. Golem is paused for one round as the helmet changes heads
2. Thaco uses "leap attack" style move and knocks Kore down
3. Thaco pulls Kore up by the head (by the looks, maybe Kore got up with the golem holding on)
4. Kore grabs the golem by the wrist and pulls it forward, toppling it and then lifts it - this isn't shown but I'd assume something like that is what happened.
From a D&D perspective the strength feat isn't anything out of the ordinary for a high level strength-based character. If the Golem weighs half a ton (500 kg) then Kore would need a strength of 28, which is completely reasonable with some gear.
Though it is a little surprising that Kore has "judo" style moves since Paladins are more into hitting things with a weapon or casting spells. Then again it's not that weird considering he also dual-wields ranged weapons which is also a bit un-paladin-like.

Is it just me or does the golem seem to get smaller?

That, and that he slaughters children.
No, it's not just you. Also, the walls and pillars keep moving around.

What happened to his KKkKkKk?
That cleared up quick after losing the helmet
I thought his throat was fucked from the rope

He's a little motivated just now -- adrenaline. His last speaking encounter with Kin showed he can talk but with effort. Also, I interpret the "K-K-K" as the sound of him breathing through a damaged trachea...

Perhaps it is drowned out by the thunderous sounds of battle right now?

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
That *gimmick* has reduced his armour, weapons, dignity and appearance quite a bit. I hope that we are getting to the last of the GreyHills Paladins having more plot story being revealed.
And, is Kore like a Level 7 character? Whoah

Kore is, at minimum, level 14. He used Holy Sword in his battle against the GAP, which requires him to be at least that level.

Is the "I cannot die" hyperbole? Because I'm inclined to take it literally. The dude is ancient and has a giant gash through his head.

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
It's times like these where I wish I had kept my Players Handbook so I could look up some of this junk and figure out more about it. Props to @Panado for some that already, but good lord. Kore is just in another league than any character we've seen in this (except maybe Biscuit, which that would be an interesting fight). And in typically horrific baddie fashion, he always seem to have an answer / be able to ramp things up even higher if needed.
Just gotta use the golem for all it's worth and hope it's enough.

He certainly looks undead, with that huge gash in his head. I'm thinking Revenant.ForgetsKeys wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2019 12:56 pm Is the "I cannot die" hyperbole? Because I'm inclined to take it literally. The dude is ancient and has a giant gash through his head.

Re: 8 Jul 2019- Gimmick
Perhaps the greyhill paladins made a tontine type pact, where whenever someone died, his powers etc went to the survivors.
For the last survivor, there is no one to give the power to, so he cannot die.

He is hoarse after a throat injury, almost indestructable, has silly armor, absorbs essence of those he kills, is cruel and has magical powers.
He is basically the Kurgan.

I tried looking for an answer but I can't find it. Anyone explain Kore's helmet missing? I get that it's in pieces but between the last panel of "punch II" and the first panel of "gimmick" it just disappears.

It could be hidden behind his giant feet. Along with the debris from the broken golem and wall? You know what, I have no idea. By now I imagine the room would be full of a thin cloud of dust from the broken stone.wordelo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 3:59 pm I tried looking for an answer but I can't find it.
