Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Ah, yes. Grave cleric would play into Dumathoin being a keeper of the dead, Knowledge for his secrets, or Paladin letting him go Nova with smite and deal even more radiant damage. Paladin smiting uses slots, but isn't casting, so doesn't interfere with rage.

Aberrations would make sense for Randy's favored enemy at 6th level, for sure. Based on experience, as well as otherworldly mandate.
The gemstone dragons are:
Emerald - CN
Ruby - LN
Sapphire -TN
Topaz - NG
Amethyst - NE
Though a gem swap would certainly be possible if Lawful Dornikal and Neutral Dumathoin want emeralds to be less chaotic.

I could see Nem setting up a thieves guild / spy network, but she's not the type to settle somewhere audacious.

An establishment can be almost anything, could be a tailors shop, a butcher.... Tess could open a belly dancing studio...

It would certainly be fairly discrete. A dance academy to train thieves would be awesome

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Looking through character sheets i just noticed Coljin has a ring of jumping that he traded for a while back. Did that because of his pretty crappy movement rate.
Now I have a few questions to make sure I'll be using it right.
Ring triples movement rate on jumping for 1 minute.
SO:
He has 14 strength.
running long jump of 14 feet if he runs 10 feet.
Ring would then make the jump up to 42 feet. So that is a total of 52 feet!
standing long jump would be half that. 21 feet.
SOOOO....
Now what I am not figuring out about from the rules.
The jump is my movement on the round. If in combat and I move ten feet and then jump, do I still get an attack from where I land? Or can I get an action (Such as cast a spell) from where I begin the round, and then move ten feet and jump?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
"...each foot you clear on the jump costs a foot of movement."
So your total movement, whether it includes running or jumping, is constrained to 25ft, or 50ft if you use your Action to Dash.
So won't make you faster, but for things like difficult terrain, which would drop you to a measly 12.5 ft, you'd be able to clear it more quickly.
So, you can run/jump or jump/walk 25ft and still attack or cast a spell that takes an action, or run/jump 50ft and cast a spell that takes a bonus action.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
OK, I'm glad I asked...I was reading that part wrong, thinking it was talking about if you jump to a higher level ground, say, landing ten feet higher than where you started, it would subtract ten feet.
Heh, In my mind I had the spell making my legs super strong and letting me soar 40 feet. Yep, I guess that is asking too much of the spell.
Ok, that makes me feel less bad about forgetting I had the magic item!
I can still jump upwards 15 feet, which is kinda cool, and reach/grab a ledge that is 20 feet high. Which could get me onto some roofs I guess. I'll have to try that when the opportunity arises.
So...leads to another question. If in combat in city. Rooftop 15 feet...I use the ring to jump up there. Auto success on landing due to the magic jump, or rolls needed to not fall or hurt myself?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Jumping up also deducts from your 25 ft base, so if you run 10ft and jump up 10ft, you'd have another 5ft you could move.
I mean, it kinda makes your legs super strong, but they're still short little things... You're strong, but constrained by your speed, where a character that is a monk has plenty of speed, but usually doesn't have the umph to jump that far.
As far as landing on a roof and whether you need to roll, it'd likely be context dependent. If it's a balcony, probably fine, but a steep roof in the rain, while you're being shot at? Probably need a roll to make it stick.

I'll let spider speak to that lurks.
But my reasoning was that it has been so long that I'd largely forgotten her motivations and drive.

I gotta admit, the temptation to start playing pranks on people while in fast mode is going to be hard to resist.

Apparently the DM!
Hmmm....
COULD use the time distortion as a way to get a long rest in, or possibly a full nights sleep without being interrupted or otherwise interrupting the regular game flow much. A full night's rest in just a few minutes! Be a nice trick if we could take the effect with us and turn it on and off at will.

I'll admit I was baiting you into trying to interact with them to help you figure out what was going on. Dornikal could opt to go to sleep next to the tree that is currently growing over Maji's body, if he wished to.

Perhaps the most impactful thing that Holger's chaos has wrought...
"A random tree or plant within 60 feet becomes awakened, as if the spell awaken was cast on it, but it is not charmed by you."
Add in unstable planar and temporal energies... stir to combine.

Maji also had on him: his shield, staff, money, waterskin, gems. (And probably some pieces of bones of various animals.)

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
The money and gems got added to the pile in front of the tube, staff was dropped in the water, but shield would have been on his body, and recoverable. Not sure if Dornikal would have scavenged animal parts.
