Wait, what? At one point you use half of the Task Chance, at another you use the full chance? How do you decide which you use?

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

We have a purple guy to fend off, eggs to aquire, a bridge to build, a ladder to build, food that we need to figure out how to get more food, a gas leak to fix, and rapidly diminishing resources (food), not to mention 2 ores to mine, stone to mine, more holes to dig, buckets to invent, rope to analyze so that we can make more, and after a bit of exploring another mother machine to build (for safty). I'm swamped, since it takes 3+ players to start to get good odds on any significant action.
Not really so. Gas leak can be ignored for the time being, constructions can be postponed, and we don't have anything to make ropes from (unless you want to make iron rope). First priority are farms and buckets.

I think it was a writing error as 15% of 300 is 45.

Wooh.. crazy update... lots of things going one...

1st: Sorry Bob... but Bob "7" is Nolandkings character.. so... but hay.. You have earned a character... so.. thats something...

2nd... TTW, Dlover, GameCreator together used 4 SA on the food thing, and on top of that.. Kida went examening Green food... thats 85% just there, I'd made the task have 20% task bonus by itself.. so... 105%, that task chance was 140% so... 153% chance of succes... and to make everything better... I rolled clean 100.... so... I HAD.. simply HAD to give a good bonus for that.....

hope you can use the new toys.. If they need better explanations just ask....

Edit.. Oh.. I changed the Max Length of the bridge and Max hight of the free standing ladder to 40.. Is i figured 25 simply was to little....

Well he had to make sure we had a character called Bob who was a builder. The comedic value was just too high to leave it.

I'll be happy to mine some of that copper to get the extra ore. In fact, that's what I'm trying to do, this is my reason for building the bridge over the pond. I'm not sure if i will need to then build a ladder or not.

Ah Its a good thing you said you wanted to do it so that you could mine I thought it was to provide passage (for which the bridge dont need to be near as high up.

Well... to mine YouÔÇÖll have to get in a height where you have reach to the Copper....

Well.. that will require:

39 pixels of bridge (4 sections) and require someone to take a pick axe and remove the earth that is in the way for passage (MyrMen needs at least 5 pixels height to pass under.. there are only 4)

ThatÔÇÖs 5 actions 5 iron and 5 building stone, to make you able to mine 2 pixels worth of copper....
then you need to build a ladder (another action and 1 iron and 1 building stone) to get to the next 11 pixels worth of copper...

Have an image:

Image

The other way around is from the top... but there is the purple guy in the way....

Or find another copper vain... it is NOT the only one....

Any questions?

WhirdCheese wrote:Stinky orders that the farming blueprints be broken down so he can start being awesome.
You cannot break down Blueprints... they must be delivered to a Mother machine, just as Manuals must, and then either the machine can produce stuff (in the case of tools) or MyrMen can build (in the case of machines and buildings)
If manuals are delivered, MyrMen can then learn whath they teach (at the cost of skill points that must be voted on, or paied for with XP, wich the individual player controels himself)

My 'plan' has been to mine the copper from the top, FWIW. But, if LAYF approves Diplomat as a hobby, and a player takes that, that could help us with the purple guy either start mining earlier, or get in his good graces by talking and not attacking enough that we can mine it later. Diplomat should take the purp guy some food and water as a gift. He seems... a bit off.

Until we get the copper for a gas mask, I was opening a new passage for us by building a bridge at the top of the tunnle. If other people help, it will go faster. We could also have someone dig to the right sideways of the old pond, and maybe discover a new chamber, but that also would make the mother machine less defensible. Or, we could dig down in our current pit t find a new chamber, but we'd probably need to make it wider, add a ladder, and have another pick and rope ready for the break through.

But, we have plenty of stuff to do and build for now, so we don't immediately have to go exploring.

How does experience points work?

I'd be willing to donate mine to either our metal miner to learn diving, or our diver to learn metal mining. Or give either of them one of my SAs to do the same thing. In other words, we need to be able to mine at the bottom of the lake for our only known source of iron so far. Other alternatives besides exploring are to dig more pits and hope to find iron, which seems fairly low odds to me. A Junk collector might help a tiny bit.

Any player voting for "1" to steal eggs or attack the purple guy, should probably have their character provide support by either aiding "1" or doing one or the other of those things also. And if we attack the purp, use a pick or shovel. Otherwise we are sending "1" to his death and not getting the eggs. And if you want to steal the eggs undetected, well an attack on the purp is a good distraction, but that STILL reqires 2-3 "people". I say 3, because an attack on the purp probably needs a 2 to 1 advantage to win.

XP is 100% up to use to decide how to use... you can use it on yourself, workers or other players.... but a new hobby cost will cost 5 XP (at this point)

I looked back and now I'm wondering the same thing. Unless there was a roll on what mission to take somehow.
