Random theory about Kore
So, I've just been reading complete scoundrel, and I saw the Grey Guard class. Given the age old question of "How can Kore be a paladin and not lose his class abilities?", could Kore be part of an extremist grey guard group? Since at level 10 grey guards are released from their code of conduct so long as they act as an exemplar of their groups' ideals, it makes sense. Any reasons why this wouldn't work?

Re: Random theory about Kore
I know that the idea has been thrown around before, but I seriously doubt it. Has Kore been in a scene yet where he does not kill an innocent, non-evil being? Grey Guards have leeway when it comes to pursuing their lawful good goals, allowing them to occasionally do things like lie or disobey a legitimate authority, but they are still lawful good and may not break their code without a good reason. We've heard Kore's reasons for killing a Dwarven child, and any DM that is going to let that slide might as well just through alignment out of the window. "Slaughtering innocents" is even listed as an act of unforgivable evil in the GG class description. It's pretty clear at this point that Kore's situation has something to do with his curse; we just don't know what the nature of that curse is.
Keeping this up until the Kore mystery is resolved: paladins do not get their powers from deities, and D&D does not operate on subjective morality.

Re: Random theory about Kore
I was wondering the other day, what if Kore isn't actually a dwarf? Or is only half-dwarf or something? Doesn't really lend any explanation to how he does what he does, but the guy is friggin huge! Maybe everyone just thinks he's a dwarf, but he's actually only a dwarf compared to a giant or something. Is that a race? Giant dwarf? Would that just be a regular sized person? I dunno, just rambling, I guess.

Kore does often look rather large, but bear in mind that most of the time he is being compared in size to Goblins. Biscuit looked like a freaking GIANT when he was first introduced. Haven't trundled through the archives in a while though, so I don't know if that accounts for it all.
