I can't believe I'm making a topic of a comic for once!

Also, right now I am kind of annoyed by THunt dragging stuff out like this. He could easily have had her drink the potion in this strip, but clearly he has something else in mind. THE TENSION!

Ohhh that's an interesting idea Necrule. I must admit I was going who, Who , WHO.... but haven't come up with any viable suspects.

Clearly we aren't meant to think it is MinMax. PsiMax seems to have just found him in the tower room. But it's hard to imagine anyone getting up there through the closed mouth thing while the fight rages on below. So, it needs to be someone who can fly perhaps? And can open the mouth or 'port through or something. MageMax perhaps? But why would he help Kin?

Now waiting eagerly for next week to find out more. Damn you Thunt you are making me wish my life away

Clearly it's NotWalter, here to repay her for freeing him.

Or, as a more sane theory, there is no one actually in front of her, instead she is looking up to see what caused the 'Tok', when actually it is behind her - the statue coming to life, having detected that a winning party has reached the area and SHOULD have gotten into the treasure room by now.

Yeah, I agree. My guess is Sapphire. (She is one of the three Kins we saw when our FMK ran into the zombies. They could have circumvented the shield/stone Minmax put over the oblivion hole somehow and arrived near the "winning room" the same way our group did. IMHO, they are also likely to help other Kins, since they seem to be Kins from 3 different realities who teamed up after "getting rid" of their normal team members one way or another.)

Perhaps an alternative Psimax. Another version of him that was made due to the counter being busted and the maze repeating over and over. Perhaps one that comes over from the other side of Oblivion. Now knowing there is no such thing as nothing.

It can't be Goblinslayer. He's not an alternate in the Maze. Except for SlayerMax, but he's dead.

The action text is green. I like the idea of an alt Kin, but Sapphire's text should be blue, shouldn't it? Didn't I see somewhere that the thing with the three Kins is that they each had a different color, and renamed themselves to avoid confusion (so they wouldn't all be calling each other Kin)?

Of course, since we know it's not Forgath or Minmax 156, how did whoever it is know that the stuff in the mug was healing potion? Or is it just that it was obvious she was reaching for it?

Also, how would they have gotten up to that room if the mouth of the tower room is closed? Same way our FMK did, I guess?

i think its pretty obvious who it is, minmax 98. He isnt the type to let another Kin die, especially one in as much pain as she is in.

It matches Kins IME. I'm gueessing it will be Charlies Angels vs Psimax for a distraction while Forgath wins the maze. Min Max, Kin and himself all get teleported out for a dramatic death scene.

Our MinMax definitely in the tower room - you can see it in PsiMax "vision" - its the tower room. So the helping hands must be someone else's.

I'm going with the thought of it being at least one of the other Kins - I think their IMEs were changed during the zombie hall scene to stop confusion, but I'd think most Kins would have the same IME. And they seemed almost too developed to have had their scene cut short they way it had.

Either way - THANKS to whoever put the mug down near Kin!

Damn, but this tension keeps ratcheting up. I have a couple ideas, but none of them are very good:

1) The person is Minmax, and the Psimax's "viewscreen" of the Tower Room is just a red herring: he scanned the room because that's where Minmax was, then panned up through the hole to see him enter the room with Kin. This doesn't really feel like Thunt's style, though. He usually puts the clues right on the page, rather than being intentionally misleading.

2) It's one of the Three Kins...now possibly alone after battling the zombies. This seems likely, just given how physically close the two groups were, but we have no evidence for it beyond that.

3) It's a good-aligned Altmax. There's nothing to directly indicate this, but a Minmax would be the right combination of kindhearted and stupid to want to heal a helpless Kin, rather than just move on to the winner's circle and reset her to health.

4) It's Blondemax. We last saw him fighting, and didn't see what happened to him. He's trying to be as good as possible from now on, to ensure that he doesn't go to hell when he dies. Alternatively, he could be trying to ensure that another group wins so he gets reset, and gets Grinnorarcen back. He may be afraid to kill himself to trigger the reset, because he doesn't want to meet any of Grinn's social circle. There's nothing to explain how he arrived in this area, though...unless he guessed a Name of Stone (cyaerbasalien) and that allowed him to bypass a barrier someplace. This is officially my Most Wild-Ass Guess.

I think it's simply PsiMax. He has decided he needs her for something, if only to get some sort of cooperation from Forgath and perhaps MinMax 156.

I just had a brainwave. What if it's AltKlik? We haven't seen him since KlikMax died. He can fly. If the tower room mouth is made of metal, he can eat through it. And, he can replace Kin's tail!

Wishful thinking? Possibiliy. But I can't think of anyone else who could get there.

Our Klik's IME is grey. I don't think we've seen AltKlik's, but it's probably the same (all the alt MinMaxes seem to be purple). Thinking about it some more, one of the three AltKin's from the zombie battle may have followed FMK up through the oblivion hole.

I still hope it's AltKlik, though.

The color of the "tok" leads me to agree it's an alt-Kin, but the timliness of the Torturemax altsplanation could mean he has made his way in. He seems like he'd be compassionate to a mortally wounded and dying Kin.
