seems like these 3 only formed this group and started formulating their plan on this run, as it doesn't sound like they've figured out how to remember previous runs yet.

the idea about exiting to a different reality is interesting, maybe we might have new permanent residents of reality 156 by the end of this?

It would appear that we now have some additional legitimate candidates for 'the serpent becomes your prey,' as well as additional complications regarding 'love will fuel hate' with these in the mix.

I find their plan a bit hard to believe
- Exiting into any alternate reality means leaving behind ALL your family and loved ones and anything in your world you were attached to
- Don't they care about their Minmaxes and Forgaths?

Though I get the idea of collecting tons of XP and treasure. (But still, they might as well share it with their Minmaxes and Forgaths.) By the way, I notice all the Kins have cursed leashes. Hope that doesn't come back to haunt them. ^^

I wonder if Ruby, Saphire etc are nicknames they gave each other so they didn't all have to call themselves "Kin". Would make sense that their names are actually Kin too, since they describe themselves as a group of Kins.

EDIT: Uh, what's that yellow stuff on Onyx's tail, in the first panel? Don't tell me she got bitten by a zombie and only hasn't discovered it yet?

Sort of. Since they didn't disrupt Psimax's calculations, they've done this before and he knows about it; they've just never succeeded. (And, of course, he wouldn't expect them to be up here.)

The mark on Onyx is the scar from the "inflict moderate wounds" by Forgath when they first met...

Perhaps this will be related to the prophecy. Our Kin decides to join these 3 Kins and betrays our Minmax and Forgath? Forgath would find out first, possibly slaying Kin for it and Minmax would finally arrive from the tower room, not fully understanding what had transpired and will effective fuel his hate for Forgath over his love for Kin?

Badassery incoming. I wonder if the three of them can defeat Psimax, though. Since he seems to be able to kersplish whatever he wants to, that seems a bit dangerous.
I wonder why all these Kins left their Forgath and Minmax, though. Did they die? Did they leave them on purpose, for being lower intelligence creatures? If that's the case, will they care about "our" Forgath and MM?

And yes, I called it. Kind of. I just said that one of the Kin trio we saw earlier might be "it", having crawled through the same hole in the ceiling as our FMK, and guessed that it would be Sapphire. But of course, it could just as likely have been a) a different one b) more or c) all of them. Way to go brain,coming up with one, but leaving out so many other options.

I am glad that Kin is safe - for now. I dread what will happen when/if our Kin rejects joining the trio, though. Will it be a "if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem" kind of reaction?

OTOH: If our Kin joins, what will they nickname her?


I love how Kin said "he stole my Forgath". As if she OWNED him. And that with her history.

Is it just me, or does Onyx (especially in the last panel) look like she might have lost a little bit of hair to the oblivion hole, maybe?

Oh and also love how Saphire picks up her own arrow. Waste not, want not I always say!

SO, I think they succeed this time. they figure out how to do what they want and they take kin but they take her to our kin's reality. Minmax and Forgath are still part of that reality and get sent back with them. However, the kins (now with our kin who can't really go anywhere on her own) are going someplace else. minmax starts hunting them in order to find kin. so the kins are now their prey and they are trying to find their own kin (Love and hate, and friends the kins) they will for some reason end up near Kore and Forgath dies.

Nope the very next page you see Sapphire leveling an arrow on our kin, I doubt it's for hugs and kisses.

Is it too much to hope that Kin will join them, take on an adventuring class (I wonder what that would be?), defeat the psion, maybe with the loss of some of the other Kins, and they all escape to reality 156 where Kin stays with the new Kin group and Minmax and Forgath use the teapot?
