Just had another look at the tower room ÔÇô the first sight we get of it. (http://www.goblinscomic.com/03022013/)
Anyway, the riddle goes:
ÔÇ×You've shown your skill, you've shown your power. But the key goes to the first up the tower.
Avoid the key that bites and the key that thinks, the key you want it the key that winks.
Choose the wrong key and the mouth will close; choose correctly and up you goes.ÔÇ£
The inscription of the treasure room says:
ÔÇ×Verily the first to enter the circle of blue shall be victorious. And so the victors shall return to their land of home by entering the circle of red.ÔÇ£
So. All the tower room riddle says is: choose the right key to ascend through the mouth. Nowhere it is said that the key will open the treasure room door.
But the treasure room scripture says that you need to enter the circle of blue to win, which is right behind the door, and the circle of red behind that to return...so you need to get into that room, since those are the only circles of red and blue, right?
Wrong. Look at the tower room again and you'll see two apparently round columns, one red and one blue, topped by probably round braziers, one red and one blue, spouting flames in red (well, orange) and blue.
Coincidence? Thunt just playing with popular complementary colours?
Perhaps. Odd though. And it's kinda hard to tell if the braziers are in jumping distance from the tower platform...
