Re: DND Ashren OOC
Sure. And I didnt take it as such. I hope my post didnt sound accusatory.
Maybe since you are game master you could do a tab keeping track of everyones inventory so that we dont have to constantly refer to the sheets (I tried but I cant use that code). Or if you want you can track loot/inventory and I can keep track of money for the group. Im just trying to help things be orderly.

No. I wrote an OOC part in my post to show that we are not.:SGTdude wrote:► Show Spoiler
"This is not disrespect for other players, but his character and that he is the cleric of a good which approves strength, which includes some rather boastful behaviour."
You char just ignored him and grabbed something he just found. And that right after he (as somebody praying to a good with a strength domain) proved his strength by cutting of the head of a hobgoblin. I see what you are doing as a player, but your char just acted disrespectful against Kaliss. Don't try to solve it between the players, as there is no between-players-problem. Solve it using roleplay, as it is only a problem between the chars. Kaliss even offered a solution.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I didnt see the OOC part. Sorry for the confusion.
Given what Jacon has posted, I will not bother taking the gold and Nerre you can deal with Quarg on all the money. Cuz whether its me or Tokryn, Im not trying to get into a dispute over money.
Also cade, since I carried your dead away, I didnt figure there would be a problem with me taking the shackles from you to lock up the human. Let me know if there is and I will adjust.
Edit: posting a clarification based on the latest ongoings IC. Nerre, I generally like you and feel like we get along ok. But Kaliss has not won Tokryn over as a friend or anything, and he will not be helpful in anyway towards your character unless he absolutely needs to be or is required to be in accordance with doing the right thing. You put Kalis in that position by being....well, rude to be honest. So Tokryn's first impression of your character is going to be fixed for a while, at least until something significant happens to cause him to think otherwise. Because I also have some backstory elements in play here. Its nothing personal, its just rp stuff, but its looking like this group is off to a not good start.
But like I said from the beginning, I am all about us all playing nice together and moving forward.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
How many did we kill? 2 or 3? Kaliss already moved a second one into the woods before you posted anything. This is confusing. You wrote your char will take care of the prisoner first, so Kaliss also grabbed a second dead hobgoblin after he moves his "kill" away.SGTdude wrote:Also cade, since I carried your dead away, I didnt figure there would be a problem with me taking the shackles from you to lock up the human. As I understand it:
One hob was kidney knifed. I moved him to the woods.
One hob ran away.
One hob was hurtling dagger pierced. I was going to carry him to the woods.
One hob was lunch. You carried him to woods.
And then there is the human.
If my math is bad here, somebody let me know.

Woo I'm the top killer! And I think you got the math right. I can try to take a look at making the tabs for loot as I post now. Correct me if I make any mistakes because I missed something.
Also, what is the size of the dagger?

Re: DND Ashren OOC
Theis, I think the human had a mace that no one has accounted for (either in the loot snatching or in the tabs). I may take it depending on what is left over and what everyone else does, but I just wanted to mention it cuz it was missing. And I am not going to post taking it cuz we have already posted doing a whole buncha junk that Jacon needs to make official first with an update. So I am waiting till then to do anything more.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I was just messing with you. I am looking forward to going forward in this with you because I think our characters could potentially play off eachother well.
So dig yourself out already!!!
Edit: I want to point out that even though I am the first one to post after the update (refresh monkey, I is), Tokryn's actions occur a short time after Kaliss returns to the group. So probably everyone else's actions for this "round" would occur before mine.
Hope that is not too confusing.
Also, is the human naked? We didnt take his clothes just his chainmail right? If we stripped him nude I probably would have objected and want to at least cover him with something.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
Sorry for the double post. Just wanted to present an image of my "holy symbol" so everyone can know what it is. Tokryn isn't wearing it now, but I am sure he will have it on in the near future.
In my mind it basically looks like this, only without the thorns.

I thought I read something like that two ran away after Kaliss shocked them with ripping of a head. So one of those two was killed by a thrown dagger?SGTdude wrote:As I understand it:

@SGTdude: a human one handed mace should be a two handed mace for a goblin. Cause one is medium, one is small. Is your symbol a ring, a crown or something put around your neck?
Jacon, which gold system do we have? (http://dungeons.wikia.com/wiki/Gold_Piece)
The newer 1:10

Re: DND Ashren OOC
There is a hobgoblin that got away. I didnt list that one cuz he ran off and is not one of the bodies.
The symbol is a crown, but it is not currently visible as it is in my backpack.
I would also like to know if the mace is going to be considered a 2h weap for me.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
That gold system is correct.
The mace is normal sized but you can use it one handed at 2- to attack or use it two handed at no penetly.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
Ok then.
Can I assume safely that I can wear the buckler as a sort of shield and not impede my ability to use the mace as a 2h weapon?
I am changing my post to reflect taking the buckler instead of the shield.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I am assuming we all know what inn, and its location we started from is,
What we don't know is the direction we have been taken...
Also shouldn't Adrena know about Pig Town? (And therefore know the possible paths between pig town and where they started?)
Note: Between any two locations there may be very, very diffrent paths...say between Las Vegas and Tonapah there is three possible paths. One goes west, then north (along US 95) or North, then northwest, and finally west, or one goes through Groom Lake. The first path is faster, though if you were on horses there is not much water. The second path is longer, but a lot more springs along the way.
The third you could take until 1943, since then you try that way and you get a free ride to Levenworth, Kansas or a bullet.
So she should know of the possible pathways, but not one she is on...

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I took the "inn...ambush" statement to be a choice and was figuring Tokryn was ambushed. I meant to put that part in my backstory, but we had already started and I just didn't get around to it.
We got to do something with the human so I guess I will start by questioning him. Its not as if I can't talk to him while someone else drives the cart.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
One platin = 10 gold = 100 silver = 1000 copper?
That one.
Also I don't have a map of Ashren. The campaign was actually based on random encounters that I roll including towns. Of course you can just follow a path and reach a town but if you go cross country you might stumble on a town, treasure, a giant, dragon etc. You still might encounter such things on the path. Basically the map is drawn as you go.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I got no wish to break this group up with in-party fighting. But you cant think a paladin is going to accept torture as a feasible option. I would love to work this out peacefully if possible.
Edit: I am also a bit concerned that certain things may be taking place before others have enough of a chance to act because this is being done basically first posted first to act basis. Im just wondering if everyone in the group is ok with this and if we need to make some kind of rule so that everyone has a chance to act when something happens?

Yes, but right now it is more a conversation between Adrena and Tokryn with the human being the doggie bag.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
I will answer the question raised, but then I am going to walk after quarg to see if his character is determined to leave the group.
OOC Tokryn is not just smiling at our captor and expecting everything to be hunky dory. He is extending a measure of trust at the man's admission of renouncing loyalty to the warlord. If he goes against his word, I will kill him. Im assuming he is neutral evil, so even if we make it to the village, we wont really be keeping company after that due to paladin code.
I would love for the group to stay together and keep this group going forward, but everyone has their own choice.
Edit: I decided to not chase after Adrena because everyone has to be free to play their own character. Tokryn gave Shiro a chance to turn over a new leaf and he took it. If the human turns again, Tokryn will treat him as an enemy. I cant him see chasing after an elf whom he doesn't know just to try to convince her to stay with the group. Everyone is free to decide their own fate; this is central to Tokryn as a character if nothing else is.
I will still do what I can (without stretching too far out of character) to help the group stay together at this point.

Re: DND Ashren OOC
Yes, but as stated previously in PM she isn't actually planing on 'leaving' as much as acting as a scout...(Just not in a way to let the Merc know about it, and also keep an eye out for any patrols.)
She's just begun to wonder if the Merc knows Draconic too and is keeping silent to his own benefit.
Also, she realized that Tokryn is completely too "Paladin" to get that she's playing this whole matter on multiple levels because he is too young (Hey, he's 9...she's twenty years his senior)
to appreciate she is being the sneaky calculating elven warrior she is...
