I hope I'm not the only one to observe this; but while it IS true all of the AltKins have collars around their necks, none of them appear to be the metal torc type like our Kin is wearing, but rather simple, leather bands. Also, I have yet to see a leash on any of them.

This may be evidence of the reason this group is so successful (at least so far); they may still have their native psionic abilities.

That COULD be a game-changer; and could also be why they don't appear to be hesitating to confront him. Maybe Ruby REALLY MEANS to splishk something of his.

I think that's tissue necrosis caused by Forgath's Inflict Light Wounds...it looks rather similar to the way Young and Beautiful's face melted when he Inflicted death upon her.

Minmax trueseeing sensed Kin's pain so therefore by monster logic Minmax is now a Yaun-Ti. That puts Minmax in great danger. The female gang may attempt to simulate their perverse mating ritual as best they can, they may form a ball of females around him and do horrible things to him.

And he would die happy.

I dislike some of the dialogue though. First picture, especially, seems a bit unnecessary to mention it's 'the healing river potion'.
Just say 'we thought/smelled/saw there was healing potion in it, so here you go', maybe not even mention the potion at all, it's pretty clear she wants the cup so that's why they give it to her anyway.

Also, this thread should totally be named 'he stole my Forgath' .

Well, I found this particular information good, since now we know that the three Kins also passed the Healing Potion river.
Before, we could not be sure if any other team passed the river at all, with the large fall and all.

it seems likely, they came from the same direction as our group in the corridor.

They all do have leashes, the blue cord wrapped over their arms like our Kin, but Onyx's leash is the most interesting. She seems to have both a collar and a belt of the same material but unlike the other Kins her leash doesn't attach to either one.

True, but I think the dialogue itself could have been better. It doesn't really sound realistic to me (also, in this way they suggest that it couldn't have been 'regular' healing potion in the mug, it has to be from the river, but how would they know that).
In fact, it wouldn't hurt the conversation to leave out this information altogether. It doesn't add much to the story, other than the fact that others pass the river of healing potion too, which doesn't really seem surprising to me.
Could have been a simple 'Here's your healing potion. Better drink it fast.' or something.

I'm a (starting) writer myself, so that's why I'm a bit picky here .

They suffer the same excessive verbalisation that seems to be a trait amongst all kins. Even in a webcomic, which is a medium which tends towards rather terse dialogue, going beyond the most efficient way to convey the information isn't bad. Dialogue is still only the real way to convey character, how something is said is as important as what is said.

why is our kin the only one with no weapon. I mean really she only fights with her tail. id like to see her use a bow or crossbow.

I actually like the fact that the dual sword wielding KIn (is that the one we dub "Jade"? I am confused...) is wearing the renmants of Brassmoon city guards. IMO, it does not make her evil per se, but rather shows that she actually was much more active than Ken in her escape from the city, and looted those from the GS personal guard (included a couple choice scimitars): the breastplate and armbands especially seem summarily put together (held by the leash and laces would not be the proper way for the original guard).

I do wonder what is the right arm protection? A belt? And where she might have gotten the saords, as none of the city guards had them. May be from Dellyn's home? I'll have to check if there were blades on the walls...

they're called Ruby (red scales) Sapphire (blue scales) and onyx (black scales)

that looks to me like a belt on her right arm, as for the rest of the equipment i'm not sure, for any of them... all our kin stole was that purple coat, but these guys are pretty well decked out

Since our Kin has no adventure levels, she has no proficiency. She's tried using weapons before, but not very effectively (See the tower battle back at town)

As for the Kins finding out how to control the resets, all they have to do is search the starting areas til they find Psimax's starting area...it's the only one with a broken counter, so it would be obvious what they need to do before they toss the unconscious Psimax into the winner's circle to reset.

The problem with that is the time. There are hundreds of groups trying to reach the finish, and if they take the time to backtrack to the beginning, someone else is bound to win first. Unless they can get EVERYONE to agree to it, and that seems very unlikely. The best case is to somehow get Psimax to monologue before knocking him out, but you still run into the issue of how to get back and destroy the counter before someone else gets up to the treasure room. Of course we stil don't know how they will even get in unless our FMK still has that key somehow.

(Maybe one of the 3K has it...they could have just pocketed it "just in case".)
