Goska spawns on D9, trying to remove the flower wreath from the grave before digging up the occupant. She will, then, attempt to rescue Explore-Randomly, the only goblin at all likely to need it.

Stumbles whacks the upper skeleton with his sword. If he still can move, he'll proceed to B4.

@ Dave: You COULD come over here and HEAL Stumbles, oh great leader. ;) Please?

You can't move after fighting, as fighting is a main action. :)

You will survive this, even without Goska's help. The skeletons will only be able to do a single point of damage to you, at most (with multiple people either spawning nearby or performing actions equally nearby, currently (4 people already, and only 2 safely explorable spots nearby). Rather than add to the congestion that will be in that area after your battle, Goska will stand ready to rescue people as they filter out of the already cramped location. And Goska couldn't heal you on the turn she spawns anyways.

Flags puts a flag on D2, then moves back to F3.

I did not expect two explosions so late in the game, thought at least the mine below the 1 was clear to guess.

That's what happens when people make a blind guess based on a bind guess based on a mistake.

Worth a shot, especially since I don't have a weapon.
Every offensive skill works on monsters/enemies by default. The peculiarity of evil skills is that they work on players too.

I think this is the proper wording to describe the abilities well. (This was the case in older games too, and I didn't change afair.)
Ah, I see. I'd misread this, thinking that I didn't need the skill to affect monsters. But what you're actually saying is that you need the skill to Push any creature, it's just that the Evil skills also work on players. Drat.

Okay, I'll attack the nearest skeleton... with my bare hands. Great. At least that should help keep it occupied while the people who can actually do something... do something.

You could check out Stumbles' latest character sheet since he is the only one hurt at the moment.

Goblins Minesweepers - A Grave Situation (Turn 8)

Post by LooksAndSmiles » Fri Feb 21, 2014 9:21 am

Turn 8 >>Next Turn

Schnitzel moves to E6, this time.
Tries-and-Dies steps north to G4, uncovering a "4". +1XP
White Metal spawns on B2, ready for action! He has no time to attack just yet, but he feels pretty confident.
Oh See That Shiny lets out a shriek, but that doesn't seem to influence the skeleton at all. White Metal, and Stumbles, who happen to be nearby, feels invigorated! Shiny feels himself in high spirits, too.

White Metal, with a sudden lift in spirits, attacks the skeleton on the top, killing it off instantly! +1XP
Stumbles around would attack the top skeleton too, but it's already dead. Invigorated, he tries to move south, but the last remaining skeleton blocks the way! Also, he recieves 1 damage from the fight.

Questions Everything steps to F8, removing her flag and revealing a "2". +1XP
Blitz Craig runs to G5, finding a "2" on the tile before. +1XP
Flags Fuses puts a flag on D2. Unfortunately, he is out of the shouts range so he doesn't gain an additional action to move.
Flags Mines attacks the nearest skeleton with his bare hands! He deals some damage.
Explore-Randomly respawns on D10, which is a "1". DING!
Dies flags B5.

Goska attempts to remove the flowers, barely paying attention to the letters in the old wood forming something along
. o not . . . . urb!
Suddenly, the earth starts to quake, and a revenant crawls out of the grave! It swings its formidable weapon around, dealing 1 damage to Goska and Explore, also knocking them back!
- Explore-Randomly, who was already at the edge of the map, gets stunned, and cannot act next turn! He also feels weak in the presence of the revenant.
- Goska has been knocked back to G9.

Explore-Randomly sees the following tokens: Push, Visions, Answer the Call, spelunky(dodge)

Skill Information Unlocked!
Encouraging Shout (Hero): Main Action. The hero invigorates all nearby allies, who gain an additional "main action" for the turn. The hero gains additional main actions for the next turn, equal to the number of invigorated allies - 1. On a successful shout the ability goes on a 10 turn cooldown.
Power Surge (Unaligned): Passive. The player gains +1 bonus to power based actions. (E.g.: melee attack)
