If the water's clear enough, shadows do sink. ;)

Obviously it's a fire-proof pond skater. :halofall:

I'm going to make a guess assuming that by "straw" maybe they meant hay.

Waves. Waves ripple through hayfields, over water, and through fire.

Original answer was shadow. So Feytala wins.
As for sinking shadow, it will shade some volume, surface included. So it doesn't sink, but doesn't float either.
Also I like version with waves.

Okay... I'll try. I am no native speaker, so lets hope I'll do it right.

A brother says to his sister : "I am going to ask you a question, for which exists one absolutely right answer - Which will be either "Yes" or "No" - But it will be impossible for you, to answer my question. Possibly, you'll know the right answer, but you will not tell it to me. Every other person could maybe be able to deliver the right answer, but not you.

Which question will he ask ?

Nope. If the right answer to "Are you sleeping" would be "No", she obvioulsy could answer that truthfully. ;)

Yeah, I thought of that, but I have heard that one before, and I thought it was something like that. Oh well.

And if she is a liar, she can say yes. If I asked this question to my sister, would she answer "No"?

If she is liar, she must say "no".

And what about self-referencing question? Like "Will you answer "no"?"

No, just because she is a liar, it doesn't follow that she always lies. That question you gave has no completely right answer.

As i thought more about it, this can be actual answer. She can't give right answer to this question at all, but anyone else can say "no", because she will not answer either "yes" or "no".

Wrong, the question posed to somebody else would still be unanswerable by that person. The question almost definitely is the one I gave, which references her in a question she can't give a definite answer to, but asked of anybody else, there's only one correct answer, based solely on how she answers.

Your question sort of blended with the rest of your post and I didn't notice it.
But I think that riddle implies that somebody else will be able to answer question given to her, not to that person.

It was "If I asked this question to my sister, would she answer 'No'?"

Anybody else could give the right answer possibly, but his sister absolutely couldn't.

"Will you answer "no"?" is the correct answer, congratulations ! :D

If she had talked to somebody before answering the question and told them how she will answer, they would be able to answer the question right, while she still can't say the right thing herself, to make the irritation somewhat clearer...^^

A man went to a hardware store to buy 3 sets of the same items. First, he said he needed ninety, and was charged twenty dollars. Then he said he needed one hundred eighty, and was charged thirty dollars. Finally, he said he needed eighteen hundred and was charged forty dollars. With his purchases costing him a total of ninety dollars, what items did the man buy?

He bought address numbers to put on the side of the house. They are $10 apiece.

"to put on the side of the house" was meant as a descriptor for the generic use of the item, not as a descriptor for the specific use of the items being purchased.
