"Shouldn't we make sure that lone guard in the last room doesn't bite us in the metaphorical butt, because we just left him there, before we do any potentially loud activities?" Saca asks the group.

Balin thinks a moment.
"Why don't you and Saca go take out the guard like you originally planned? Calrick and I can stay here and keep an eye and ear out for Kryz if he needs help." He turns to Calrick. " Can you send your little friend back up to watch Kryz and make sure he doesn't get into trouble?"

"Well, I can at least watch when he does.", Calrick says, resigned to the plan.
He'll send Lewis up the shaft, finding a spot part way up that he can keep an eye on things from.

Saca nods. "Alright, Aimee, let's go. Best of luck to you." she adds to the other part of the group.
Stealth (with guidance, at disadvantage) - sneaking into position to shoot goblin sentinel: 2D20.LOW(1)+0+1D4 = [6, 20]+0+[3] = 9

Saca and Aimee are able to sneak up in sight, and in range, of the goblin guard, with it seeming no to react.

Sneaking up to blast: 2D20.HIGH(1)+3 = [17, 6]+4 = 21
Too bad she is a terrible shot.
Blasting from her sneaking: 1D20+3 = [4]+3 = 7
1D10 = [6] = 6

Crossbowshot at goblin sentry: 1D20+2 = [6]+2 = 8
damage roll (in the unlikey case it does connect): 1D8 = [5] = 5

Kryz looks around nearby his vantage point, wondering if there's any way to climb up without being seen...

Re: D&D 5e: The Lost Mines of Phandelver
Kryz doesn't see anything specific that would give him an advantage in stealth. Only the fact that the group paying more attention to their conversation than their surroundings is helping. If he was sneaky, he could probably crawl to the main floor without being seen, but not for long. The stalactites were probably close enough to toss the rope onto from his current position, if that was the plan.
Aimee and Saca meanwhile are definitely bringing attention to themselves. The goblin guard, missed by both the arrow and spell, gives a cry of surprise and grabs a nearby shortbow and launches an arrow in the direction of the two, missing them in the darkness.

Balin looks over his shoulder at the ruckus. He quietly chuckles and turns back to the crack at the back of the cave with a wide, fierce grin on his face.

Not really. The cave walls are pretty bare, and the stream is the only nearby feature
