It does look like the whole tower turns to raise the platform, and that the keys are in the pedastle on top. While they could lock the mouth mechanism(which I agree is probably rigged to bite them in half, waiting for however gets up there with the key is probably best.

Imagine trying to DM this part of the dungeon. It would be horrific.

So there is at least one Axe of Prissan in the Battle Royal. And at least in our universe the mega-demon-or-what-not was already quite close from escaping from it. Wonder if killing a ton of FMKs from different realities is enough "evil" to free the demon to wreck havoc in the MoM... and beating the dungeon thus returning to destroy whatever universe it came from. That would be cool.
A lord might come, he will kill some, others he will beat and that will be neat.

I think the blue MM is a dehydrated aqua-humanoid from one of the realities. I also suspect that Hulk-Kin's reality involves everybody being half-breeds. She could be a Half Lizardman/Half Lamia. Looking at MM and Forgath from that reality brought me to that conclusion.

I wonder if the two pillars with fire have any hidden significance.. they are the red and blue of the winner's circle.

This update should have been called "Crabs in a bucket", and I can't get that song out of my head now

I can see that picking the wrong 'key' might get you dipped into one of the fires, so not something you'd want to try by trial and error even if you jam the mouth open

According to Thunt, slashing and piercing does 8x damage on him. So it's not a stretch to think he'd avoid opening the treasure chest.

Well, he'd still need a high int for more spells, and higher dcs, which are useful no matter what type of wizard you are

I have a theory:

They are racing up the tower.
The first one up gets to pick a key.
If it is the right key then the tower wil start spinning.
The tower itself moves up.
The <4 facething- pillars> will start to spin downwards like a screw bolt.
Turning all of the losers who are below the in a bloody meatpile.

oh an then there are also those 2 towers of some sort of magic fire.
Ofcourse those two towers are knocked down by the <4facething> and set everything aflame to ensure maximal carnage.

Quick question:

Why are there so many speculations about the red helmet FMK party? I assume Thunt explained that in one of his drawing sessions, but it seems like that's a pretty significant party, and they don't have any information on them in the webpage that explains many of the realities. So, what information has been given that I missed?

Really stupid question

But which party is the one that everybody refers to as the red helmets?

I thought so as well, but I'm uncertain.

See, that rim is far too small for the lower lower part of the "screw":

Image

Of course, perspective is an issue. But if we were to see this due to perspective, then the screw thread should be visually broader in the lower area than in the upper, more remote part (keeping the thread width to screw diameter ratio), and that is not the case. Else it would be a screw thread that is tightening, that's not working very well in general.

But maybe we just have to wait for the shading ;)

Anyway, come to think of it, how the hell is anybody supposed to climb past that rim at all? Maybe "Octokin" can do it, but others?

Ôé¼dit┬▓: Looking again at the pciture, now I know why the "screw" does not seem to be depicted in perspective. It's not so much because of the thread width thing.
It's because of the two smaller towers, which are straight with perfectly parallel sides, and even more because of the room's corners, which are not drawn in perspective either, despite them exceeding the height of the tower of course.

We haven't seen them yet. Nor do I see them down there in the mass melee. No information -has- been given on them. We only saw one in a second where MM reached for Oblivious, so that's the only way we know they're "coming"... maybe they win the melee down there and rise up to meet our FMK?

Go back to when they were fighting the Kin team. When Minmax puts down his sword, you can see a Minmax with a red helmet past the arm of our future-Minmax who is drawing the sword forward in time. It's a minor detail, easily missed.

Knowing magic missile doesn't necessarily make him an evoker, I've never heard of a wizard or sorcerer that didn't know that one. It's iconic, and unavoidable damage is always nice even if it's a pitiful amount.

Considering all 'dead' FMK will repawn once round ends, it can hardly be called evil thing. If it was true, then playing any multiplayer FPS or any game with killing each other would damn everyone for eternity.

I wonder where is Psimax in all this? I mean, he surely had had to notice by now that something is wrong with his calculations. My guess is that he'll show up after our FMK wins with Red Helmets and gets the key. And about the Red Helmets - if they are impervious to Psimax's attacks than probably our FMK will use their helmets to their advantage?

What is on our side of the foreground that the people in the foreground are staring at? Another clue on the wall that we can't see yet?
I like the archers on the far right side. Turquoise Kin and White Pants Max.
