I don't think the Viper clan is close to the cloudypine mountain...
The Vipers would not have metal left if they were close....

They don't look that far away on the map. Just across the lake.

I agree - and I think this pretty much confirms it.
The more I look at the girl the more inclined I am to think she has some kind of tribal tattoos rather than being a patchwork person.
Her partner is human and some kind of melee class - maybe barbarian (very little armor) what do you think she is? The weird hand has me thinking magic user, which would e fun, all we've really seen for magic users so far is clerics and paladins (and psymax, but he's way over powered and not even from this reality) as for race I'm guessing Halfling

Well, if they're near Forgath, they're near the tribe of Kliks, therefore any armour is liable to vanish anytime your back is turned...

There was Magemax...but yeah, we're kinda overdue for a wizard. Perhaps THunt's solution to the "linear fighters, quadratic wizards" issue is simply to assume that wizards don't exist in low-tier games; the PCs needed to level up a bit before they'd start meeting any.

That reminds me, why does Forgath think he doesn't have a weapon? He's still wearing his mace hand.

Forgath left it behind when he went berserk, here: http://www.goblinscomic.org/09172014/ (3rd panel)

Doesn't the glove provide a boost on its own, though?

So, he has a piece of armour for his hand that gives him an armour bonus, but he still has hands free to hold a weapon....
Yeah, he is without a weapon, although he does have weaponisable armour...
