Re: D&D 5e: The Lost Mines of Phandelver
A large wave comes crashing down the streambed, seemingly taking everything with it in it's path. Well, almost everyone. Actually, mostly just the dwarves. Maybe the water is racist? The rest of the party is able to hold on or get out of the way of the giant wave. Meanwhile, Saca and Balin are washed to the entrance of the cave before they can find solid ground. Saca takes 2 damage, while Balin takes 3. Everyone else seems wet, but okay.

Once he's secure and the water is past, Cal sends Lewis down to check on the dwarves, whispering to Kryz or whoever is closest their state, then having his owl fly a short ways up from where they are to keep an eye on the approach of any foes.

Aimee really wants to get up on that bridge. She looks for a place she can climb up? Those goblins got up there somehow.

Balin slowly climbs to his feet, wincing a little. He looks down at himself, covered in mud with twigs and weeds tangled in his beard. He sighs and looks himself over to make sure nothing is missing from his gear, then starts to determinedly walk back up the creek bed with less clanking, more squishing.

Aimee smiles at the squishy dwarf and asks in a loud whisper,
"You see anyway up on that bridge? I want up there!"
She will absently prestidigitation him clean, except his beard, as she peers about.

Re: D&D 5e: The Lost Mines of Phandelver
"I need a boost up there!" Then she is struck by inspiration as she spots Lewis the owl flying by and runs over to Cal and kneels in the river debris so she can look Cal in the eyes, with a big grin on her face. She says, volume increasing from a whisper to something a bit louder by the end, "Lewis can take a rope up there and wrap it around and around and around and around! Then I can climb up!"
This, without a doubt, is a good idea!

She waits an uncomfortably long time, smile never waivering. She then says,
"Oh!"
And repeats her idea inside Cal's brain.

"Gaaah!", Cal's eyes go wide and focus on her. He's still breathing a bit faster, but nods and asks Lewis to try carrying the rope up.
"That's handy you can do that, but it's still a bit startling."

"Do what?" She says it out loud and echoes it in Cal's brain as she watches with barely controlled glee as the owl does the thing!

Lewis flies up and wraps the rope around a slat in the bridge once or twice, but it's hard to get something that'll hold when you only have a beak and wing to work with.
Roll dex for Lewis.

Lewis is fairly practiced at attempting things for Cal that normal owls would have no business doing.

Lewis works some magic with the rope, and is somehow able to tie a solid-looking knot. It at least looks like it'll hold.

Aimee brain asks,
"Is done? It looks done! I'm gonna climb it!"
She runs up, her enthusiasm making up for he lack of upper...or lower body strength.
Aimee climbing: 1D20-1 = [19]-1 = 18

Saca, scrambles back to her feet and walks towards the others again. She, too, checks if she lost anything on the family fun water slide ride. She looks up to where the others are tying a rope to, wringing out bits and pieces of her clothing. "Anything I can do to help? Other than not getting swept away, I suppose?"

Balin eyes the rope a bit dubiously. "I'll go last. I'm heaviest and I'd rather someone checked the knot before I try it."

Aimee scrambles up the rope without issue. If the rest of you want to climb, let me know what order. Or else, what else you want to do

Aimee surveys her options on the bridge while she cheers everyone on as they climb, but real quiet like.
