((oh, crap! It's not supposed to! If you apply the contact poison, it'll be good for a couple of hours as long as it doesn't get washed off. Only the injury poisons were supposed to last for a minute.))

Varsk uses the DC 16 poison on his first 3 bolts and the DC 11 on his greatsword. If it will last until they get here.))

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (D&D 5e)
((Okay!))
Varsk, earlier, gets Vaceran to crawl under the cabin and apply the contact poison to the handle/spot that would be touched to open it.

The lizard group
Merric casts Armor of Agathys on himself and shivers slightly at the coolness of it as he heads up the shore towards the source of the sounds he heard before. As he approaches, he spots an obvious trail of blood leading up the hill through the tall grass. It opens out onto a flattened, circular area where the grass has been trampled down, and covered in reed matts. Flies buzz noisily in the air, and the blood is sticky under his feet, leading towards the prone body of a heavily muscled lizardfolk. He is watching you and breathing heavily.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (D&D 5e)
(I'm confused. When did Merric say he was doing that? Where's the rest of the group? If Kal is there, he'll look around for signs of trouble/danger before trying to talk to the lizard. The reed mats make him wary of pitfalls and other traps. He also wants to know if he can spot anything to tell him whether this is a member of the tribe they came to see or a corrupted invader like the one who had been wearing the insignia they found.

"We got a wounded one here! Kal we need your magic!"
Merric will approach with a smile while telepathic talking to the lizard.
"Worry not we are here to help. You are lucky the true god led me to you. We are here to get rid of the false god."

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (D&D 5e)
Oh, I see it now. Kal is going to Perception the heck out of this. Is there anything dangerous lurking nearby? (Presumably something felled this strong warrior very recently. What and where is it?) Is the area trapped? What can he tell about this lizard?

I'm trying to keep an eye on the surroundings, but keep getting pulled back to the big heavily breathing lizard guy.

The Lizard Group
Kal's roll: Perception: 1D20+1 = [2]+1 = 3
None of the group notice anything much else around the area, their attention far too absorbed by the injured lizardfolk. Artho mutters a curse of surprise under his breath when he sees the lizard.
"We got a wounded one here! Kal we need your magic!"
Merric sends a thought out to the injured warrior who winces and then locks eyes with him and growls. He doesn't seem to have much energy left for discussion.
------------------------------------------
The Druid Group
The predicted time for... whatever is coming, has finally come and the group head out to their preferred positions.
Let's bank your initiative rolls now, but I'll let you know when we're on turn order
Vaceran prepares his longbow and takes up a seat near the barricaded door, the blackleaf tea carefully stowed in a flask in a pouch on his belt. Valemgaldro sits on the bed, fidgeting with his hands and grumbling occassionally about how many people are currently in his house and how everyone should leave so he can go to sleep, but his voice is soon drowned out by the heavy rain. Mehriv and Varsk wait nearby. The rain batters off the roof, and the closed and barricaded shutters block out all views of the outside world. The tension in the room is palpable and you wait.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (D&D 5e)
Syli tenses, carefully shifting on all fours over to the west slant of the roof, peering over it like a cat eying an unwary mouse. She pockets her totem for the moment, opting to pull three arrows from her quiver... and waiting.
Syli Initiative (+3 w/ Adv): 20
((She's basically positioning herself adjacent to the chimney and the center beam of the cabin, so she can still see and fire over, but so it's harder in turn to spot and fire on her))
((Also, hey, CoyoteCode's back.))
