Re: The Heist - OOC
Kytiel's seems to make the most sense, since Veska apparently did a combat roll to get away from the stalactite monsters.

Re: The Heist - OOC
Yeah, that makes sense. Though I was mainly giving flavour to the fact that somehow, when trying to hit you with Surprise advantage, it rolled a 4 and a 1

Re: The Heist - OOC
I just remembered, since Kytiel's next to Veska, she should have Pack Tactics. So any Disadvantage should be cancelled, I believe.
Edited my post, that first hit should be a crit now!

Sorry, I've had a busy few weeks
I'll try and get something up tonight, but no promises. This weekend should be fine at the very least.

Does there seem to be a source for these bones? Veska's first thought is that rats are getting down here from somewhere above, into that room with the stalactite monsters. Though she supposes it's possible somebody comes by to feed them.Dusk9 wrote:As she brushes herself off, she happens to notice what looks like small animal bones in a few of the puddles around their feet. About rat-sized.

Welp.
Any of the remaining 3 directions stand out from the others? A subtle incline, a breeze, something to indicate the way up?

Based on that Survival check? The right tunnels seem to go downhill very slightly.

Re: The Heist - OOC
Are you both examining the rocks? If so, you can either both roll Investigation, or one of you can with advantage.

Sure, Kytiel can take the lead, with help from Veska.

Can I have Athletics checks for Veska and Kytiel?

Athletics for digging out cave-in: 1d20+2 = [13] = 15
Not sure if I get to add anything for using a crowbar, nor if I should be rolling with Advantage instead of having Kytiel roll. I guess you can just add +2 to whatever Spider rolls if he wants to give Advantage, though.

Re: The Heist - OOC
Sorry guys, I've been super busy with work and personal life stuff.
I'll try and get an update up this weekend, then maybe move to a "twice a week" update schedule?

Re: The Heist - OOC
Hey guys.
So, as you've probably noticed, things in my life have become super busy in the last few months. Nothing bad (in fact some very good things have happened) but enough to push this to the bottom of my list. Sorry again about that.
The thing is, I'm not expecting this to get better any time soon. In fact it's likely I'll have even less free time. But, while putting the game on hiatus or even just stopping it here would make sense, I don't want to leave it on such an unsatisfying ending for you. Again. A couple of you probably remember this not being the first time I've failed at running a game to the end
Anyway, I think I've come up with an alternative. Hopefully one that will give some closure for you/your characters.
So yeah, let me know what you guys would prefer.
((Also the timeskip option will probably involve bumping you guys up to Lv6, since that was my plan all along.))

The actual heist itself was always the bit I had most fleshed out, so the workload on my end should be light enough for me to get through relatively quickly. A few weeks, maybe less.Option 1) We call it here, and cancel the game.
Option 2) Indefinite hiatus, until I have time to run the game again (potentially very far in the future).
Option 3) Timeskip to the final chapter. I put the game on an shorter hiatus for the time being. During that period, you guys say whatever it is you wanted your characters to do in preparation for the night of the heist. I ask you to make some rolls (and make a few of my own) and then once I've got everything ready, we restart the game with you either preparing to tackle the bank, or already inside; with a much shorter and more definite end point.
Option 4) ??? (suggestions welcome)
So yeah, let me know what you guys would prefer.

I'm good with a timeskip if that works for you and the others?

Timeskip seems like the best option yeah.
