The bandit leader doesn't even seem the slightest bit impacted by Lurn's best efforts to toll his death. In fact he doesn't even notice it.

Bandit boss wisdom save 3: 1D20+1 = [19]+1 = 20

Joe launches another firebolt at the boss.
Fire bolt: 1D20+4 = [17]+4 = 21
1D10 = [5] = 5

The bandit boss catches the blast in his side, sending up the smell of burning leather. He takes a deep breath and tries to chop Jaq down but just misses as Jaq reads his swing.

Bandit attack on Jaq: 2D20.LOW(1)+3 = [11, 17]+3 = 14


The shaky crossbow bandit scans the field for targets and picks the halfing that just shot her boss. Following her standard procedure she points, closes her eyes and shoots, missing badly.

Bandit xbow on Joe: 2D20.LOW(1)+3 = [17, 4]+3 = 7



Jaq (6 HP) <======
Ves (4 HP)
Bandit 2: Dwarf male, light crossbow (down 9 HP)
Bandit 3: Tiefling male, sabre
Lurn (11 HP)

After punching the dragonborn to the floor, Ves will turn her attention to the tiefling with a bright, predatory glint in her eye. He's going down.

She swings hard at him with her quarterstaff, then spins her momentum around on him and knees him hard in the gut.

Quarterstaff Attack (2H); Unarmed attack: 1D20+5 = [5]+5 = 10
1D20+4 = [17]+4 = 21


((...Aaaaand I'm going to spend my last luck point on rerolling the QS attack, assuming that it's a miss)):
Lucky Strike: 1D20+5 = [7]+5 = 12

Quarterstaff Damage (2H); Unarmed damage: 1D8+3 = [5]+3 = 8
1D4+2 = [3]+2 = 5


((I REALLY hope that's enough))

The tiefling is unprepared for the speed and fury of Ves' blow, raising his sabre too slowly to intercept the staff. He makes a "HRK" noise as he doubles over, dropping his sabre before losing his dinner on the ground in front of him. He is unable to slow his fall and hits hard, laying on the ground in front of Ves gasping and wretching.

Jaq will continue to Dodge and hope for the others to take down the fighter for him while distracted.
(Cannot wait to get to second level so Jaq can have a free action to disengage!)

The bells resound in the bandit boss's head. A slow trickle of blood starts to run down his cheeks from his ears. He looks distinctly unwell.

Just as the firebolt seems to be on the way to miss the boss a slight gust of wind pushes it right into his chest. It doesn't do a lot of damage on its own but it all seems to be stacking up.

The boss bandit turns and looks behind him and, seeing only a single member of his crew still standing, curses and yells, "Shoot the blue haired one." Before disengaging and moving as far as he can back south.

The woman bandit brings the crossbow up at Ves and quickly shoots, not even really aiming, before running after her dwarven comrade.

Woman bandit cross attack Ves: 2D20.LOW(1)+3 = [15, 3]+3 = 6


((Combat is effectively over. They are all running at this point. We will stay on turn order if you want to continue to try and stop the two remaining bandits from getting away otherwise we will switch to regular time. Let me know.))

As the lead bandit begins to run off, Jaq lines up his longbow and takes a shot at him.

Longbow attack: 1D20+7 = [18]+7 = 25

Arrow damage: 1D8+5 = [4]+5 = 9


(yea, Jaq's luck seems to have changed for the better)

The boss bandit is so focused on getting away he doesn't notice Jaq pull back and let another arrow fly. In fact he doesn't notice until the arrow hits him where Joe's firebolt burnt away his armor and hits something vital.

Dropping his sword he clutches the shaft of the arrow, looking at it in anger before turning his dying gaze to Jaq. He spits a mouthful blood in Jaq's direction before falling back to the cobblestones.

((Joe's firebolt misses. Anything from Lurn))

Ves dashes after the running bandit woman.

Shell tackle the woman, using her staff across the woman's chest to pin her in a grapple, yelling "Stop running or they'll shoot you down like your boss. Surrender and you'll be safe."

Grapple:
Athletics: 1D20+3 = [16]+3 = 19

Jaq moves over to check on the girl who had been kidnapped (or has she ran off?).

He will untie her if needed and try to make her a bit more comfortable and re-assure her she is safe and he will make sure she gets to safety.

The woman yelps in surprise as Ves jumps and tackles her. She is squirmy but Ves just manages to pin her down.

"Oh come on, just let me go! I don't know nothing."

She looks up pleadingly.

((Combat is over.))

Jaq goes and checks the young elf woman. She isn't bound but nor is she awake. She mutters a bit as he adjusts her.
