"Thank you for your efforts!
Interesting to know, and well done!"
That also reminds me: In this comic they found out that Oblivious cannot be moved by anybody else, so I expected that MM and Forgath would use this in a throwing excercise.... If you don't feel the mass of something you want to throw, you can give it tremendous speeds....

Re: Minmax Armor Colour Log
Nice list.
I'm curious now... have we learned yet what any of the colors do? Or have we at least speculated on one or two of the colors, based on what appeared to happen (or, not happen) while it was some color? (i.e. didn't he seem to fare better during one encounter while it was a certain color... at least from a speculator's point of view?)

Re: Minmax Armour Colour Log
Nothing got noted so far, and there have been plenty of speculations regarding improved magic resistance or similar.
But seeing how fast Minmax noted the +2 on his stat on this page due to Oblivious, common grounds are right now that the armour may change colour, which may help in camouflaging, but it does not give any other advantage, as it would otherwise be likely for Minmax to have noted any changes on the stats.

A neat idea, but as soon as he lets go his future self nabs it - remember when he tries throwing it while Forgath is fighting Kore?Krulle wrote:Please transmit back to your Russian reader:

He can still move the sword in a throwing fashion, without letting go, or letting go and catapult someone by letting the sword disappear.
Question would be if that person could hold on through time and get forwarded too, or whether he would remain in this time and continue his trajectory.

I would think there would be a rules difference between someone attempting to move oblivious, and oblivious being used to move someone. In other words, if someone attempted to move oblivious Minmax feels nothing, but if Minmax uses oblivious to move someone/something else he still has to work against that mass.

That's right, it's why MM can't simply ram Oblivious into a wall - the wall can't affect the sword, but the sword can fail to affect the wall.Urobolos wrote:Krulle wrote:He can still move the sword in a throwing fashion, without letting go, or letting go and catapult someone by letting the sword disappear.

And it may be MM's expectation of movement resistance...

Re: Minmax Armor Colour Log
There's a knight with a color-change ring in L'Morte d' Arthur. He uses it to disguise himself at a tournament. (His reasons are kind of convoluted, but involve love.) After winning a few rounds, people figure it out. But he still manages to avoid people by losing himself in the crowd of knights and changing his color repeatedly. I can see how that might be useful in certain combat situations. For example, you're fighting the pink knight, and winning. But his companion the ranger is drawing an arrow on you from a safe difference. You quickly change pink, forcing the ranger to move in closer.
Also note that all those colors and standards were necessary for keeping track of who you were trying to kill and who you weren't.
L'Morte d' Arthur has hundreds of colorful knights, and they are sometimes symbolic (black knight obviously) but often times it appears to be just fairy tale convention. Like a knight has to fight a green knight, then a blue knight, then an especially evil red knight to rescue a lady.
