Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
No worries, I teach noon-2:45, work at the other job 4-9, then have RL D&D at 10:30, so not likely to be anything big from me today, depending on the rest are doing.

I think Maji is waiting to see if Holder's going to stop him from knocking?

Welp... Maji, Randy and Ulmwin are gone to who knows where. Is everyone else waiting an hour before doing anything else?

I can't think of any reason Dornikal would abandon his guard duty...so yes.

The sign now reads "I'm hungry, feed me more"
(Note that the the above may or may not be correct, but boy wouldn't that be a terrifying thought..? )

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
All I'm saying is if Ulmwin is being digested in there right now, you better drag along his corpse for resurrection or he's gonna haunt y'all with terrible music every night.
Also if Ulmwin was still outside he'd be playing devils advocate and ask about area attacks...

I'd have never expected technobabble in a fantasy D&D campaign...

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
We do seem to be threatening Steam Punk territory, don't we? I used to have a minor interest in amateur astronomy, but never had the money (then) or the time (now) to indulge it. I'm a little rusty on it now.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
You're quickly outstripping my knowledge of it!
I used part of a journal article as the inspiration for his initial jargon filled outburst...
To give proper credit:
Willacy, K., Alexander, C., Ali-Dib, M., Ceccarelli, C., Charnley, B., Doronin, M. et al. 2015. The Composition of the Protosolar Disk and the Formation Conditions for Comets. Space Science Reviews. 197 (1–4): 151–190.
I don't intend to veer us into full on steampunk or Spelljammer territory, though I guess you have already found a holographic projector with blueprints for making a robot on them...

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
A mirror telescope is not impossible at the tech level described, and they don't have to be huge to get some really whipping images. Now if we find a D&D version of a Saturn V rocket, I'll say we've broached into full on steam punk/War Hammer territory!

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Since it seems that you guys are in favor of taking the job offer, just as a heads up, since Badge is not yet back to the forum, and Zephyr still has a level of exhaustion she's dealing with, I intend to leave her at the tower rather than continue to puppet her. If Badge rejoins while you're still away on mission, I may just RP some side stuff with him if it looks like you're almost done, or if you'll be away for a while, a high level wizard NPC gives an in game reason to be able to reinsert her into the party.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Sounds good! Also, just as an FYI, I started a 2-course teaching semester in my new job a couple of weeks ago and I'm struggling massively to get my feet ack under me. I'll be around, but might be slow to post during the daytime. If necessary, Nem will happily be autopiloted towards scouting, checking for traps, disarming stuff with her mage hand etc. as needed by the group, unless it's explicitly stated as super stupid or dangerous.
Games I'm running:

Should have asked before, we are okay with giving up the beans right? Dornikal would never use the and this way we get something useful for everyone from them.

Ulmwin agrees with that, at least.
