Re: The Sundered Way
((is the current stew made of horse? Or is it just "mystery meat"?))
Either way, Nem will make sure the ex-prisoners who don't know about the stew don't eat any - she'll swap their food bowls for goodberries (I believe she has 3)
"You've had a rough time of it lately - here. This is better for you than sporky orc food, and is as good as a full meal."
She'll also borrow Holger and quietly dump whatever food had prisoner meat in it into the latrine area while the orc is distracted somewhere else (shouldn't be too hard).

Ulmwin nods. "He's indicated he'd be happy mostly being on his own, yeah..? We'd just have to find a way to convey simple things to him... Likely rely on body language, mostly. A couple words of common..."

(Then she'll dump the porridge first and not worry too much about the stew. She'll still offer the goodberries around to the prisoners though in case they prefer not to eat any of the orc food)

Here is the roll whatever the eventual carry decision is:
Lifting a heavy chair: 2D20.LOW(1)+6 = [12, 5]+6 = 11
If he is rolling flat it becomes an 18.

Between the two of you, you manage to scoot it along, eventually making it to the overfull carts.

"You look tuckered out, perhaps sit a bit in this fine chair." Zephyr profers the chair to the Dorf.

Arms shaking Dornikal looks up at the carts.
"Aye'm not going to sit in Korgal's throne, but thank ye.
Aye'm gonna need some time before aye can help ye load this up there, an there doesn't seem to be much room for it."
((What's the chair made out of? Investigation? What is chair made of?: 2D20.LOW(1) = [16, 3] = 3
seems to be made from wood ))

Zephyr goes to the prior caravan owner and talks briefly to him. "Tell me, you plan on continuing west, but where is your home? Perhaps you would be willing to continue to travel east with us, we may be able to solve the problem with the wells. Surely you have a family to go back to?"

Re: The Sundered Way
After dumping the porridge, Nem comes back to talk to Dornikal, and ideally gathers the whole party for a chat on where to go next.
"I got rid of the porridge.
Now, we were headed east towards Estmont before we got tangled up in all this. Anything you can tell us from the Eastern cities? We've heard rumours of a bit of political unrest in Krovesh, and some Yuan-Ti cultists gaining power in Krelpo. We've had no news really from Estmont or the northern cities though."

Re: The Sundered Way
Szartha sighs and responds to Zephyr.
"We were headed east... but I had four wagons, and nine other people in my employ who are all dead at the hands of the orcs. It would be tough going, just the four of us pushing on west... if they even trust my leadership. If you'll have our company, I think returning east would be the most prudent. It would be across the desert, but it was only the last few days of wells that were tainted on our way out here, and it's a shorter return trip than for us than to head alone across the Wilds to the Vale."

"They were only established in Krelpo as far as we heard from Krodop, which is a long way south of Estmark. But these folk have been there more recently, and may know more."
She looks expectantly at Dornikal, waiting for him to catch his breath after hauling the throne through.

Zephyr thinks for a moment and asks a further question of Szartha. "Being that you came from the east, do you know of any bounties on Orcs, as we are currently in large supply of their heads, ears, or whatever else can be proof of their death. I understand that it might not be easy to start yourself up in the trade again, but perhaps once you get back home, your luck will turn."

Re: The Sundered Way
The orc shrugs. "Hurm?" He points at his kitchen things. "Hurm?"
The dragonborn gives you a disgusted look. "No, if I'd know orcs were camped on the route, we might have approached things differently."
"The wares we were transporting are mostly still here, I just have limited means of getting them safely to the west. If you're heading east, I'll gladly join you."

"Tell him we'll take his stuff with him... That's the intent after all, right?" Ulmwin nods... But instead tries to figure out the body language thing instead. He gives a heavy nod, and motions to the orc in a "picking up" motion- Hoping it gets the message across...

Ulmwin sighs... Shaking his head while giving the back of the orc a couple solid "punches" (although not hard enough that they'd actually hurt anyone, let alone an orc) in the hopes of being put down.

The orc sets Ulmwin down and tries again, this time picking up a crate of various pantry goods. "Hurm?"
