"Zombies?!" Randy looks a bit alarmed and puzzled. "How did they get down there?! Nothing came after me while I was down there!"

"Those two seemed pretty dead when we pulled them out... It was just the pair of them? How'd zombies get into the well? Not sure the orcs had access to zombies, or?"

"I don't know. They were down on the bottom, mostly buried in sand and silt. I barely noticed the one, except it's head sticking out and I saw some hair moving in the little bit of current I stirred up. When I went to check on it, its arm moved out of the sandy bottom and they started climbing out."

((Burns, since it seems we'll be well past where it makes sense to RP an extended dice game, if you'd like to make an INT roll (add bonus if you're proficient in dice games), we can see if you earn any coin.))

As you while away the night, the three of you have quite a few swings of fortune, but by the time Coljin is hauled back up, you and Tren are both up 5 silver at Szartha's expense.

Tren, Szartha: 1D20+3 = [16]+3 = 19
1D20+2 = [15]+2 = 17

Once Coljin is warmed up and comfortable again he asks Szartha, "So, this was the last fouled well you came across, correct? How many more stops before we hit the first of the eastern cities?"

"Yes... er, well, this was the first that we came across, so the rest should be good, as long as the orcs didn't foul any others while they had us captured. It'll be another two weeks, if we've no other setbacks, by then we'll be coming out into the scrub, and after that the farmlands west of Estmont."

Dornikal sighs and is relieved that Korgal's visible touch has been removed from this portion of the world at least. He moves a bit away from the group and takes out his emerald and spends some time communing with Dumathoin.

((Are we planning on spending another day here before moving on? If so Dornikal will work on the jewelry.))

((You've spend most of the night here, so it'd either be travel during the day or spend it here and head out the following night.))

((Okay so another round of watches then? And did you want another set of rolls for the jewelry?))

Randy has had a busy day and will take 1st watch.

perception: 1d20+3 = [5] = 8 ((Yep, not too attentive. ))

Dornikal will take fairly vigilant second watch still wondering about the zombies in the well.

2nd night 2nd watch: 1D20+4 = [11]+4 = 15

((sure, I'll take jewelry rolls, Maji, if you want to have made a potion during the day, you could have found time to. If someone wants to roll me a d12?))

((Some solid rolls! You'll be able to finish them in the coming days during your downtime.))

Dornikal makes good progress on his projects while not manning the ropes.

Woo! Maji will make a healing potion! Also using up another spell for goodberries right before he sleeps and guards on last shift, making more goodberries before long rest is over.

Maji and Dornikal get some crafting done, the dwarf completing the first of the three projects he had been working on as you spend another night at the last well, Coljin taking another quick jaunt down to ensure that everything still seems good and clean, which it does, and no additional bodies are found. The sun sets, and you are ready to head east, water barrels topped off, and well rested.

Nem will drive her favourite wagon as usual, taking her place up on the driver's seat with Ily snuggled into her scarf for warmth in the (relatively) cool night air and singing songs about whatever comes to mind.

Randy seems to have come down with a head cold...or maybe the smell stunned his sinuses. Either way, he's not up to speed and decides to take rear guard duty tonight.

stealth: 1D20+5 = [13]+5 = 18

He's still sneaky, though...

Maji motions swoards southeast, seeming to want to go that way.

"Maji, why are you pointing that way? Do you see something? We can't really leave the caravan path, the wagons won't be able to go over the sand without getting very stuck."

Over that way is where giant spider lives.

"Oh," Coljin says, and then pauses a moment before whipping out a series of quick questions. "How do you know that? Some druid bug sense? And why do we wanna go towards it then? And how far away?"

Spell. Can locate plants or animals. 4 miles away, underground. Want a giant spiderform.
