((Well as we are maybe leaving today someone should take the hour hike over to ask it!

Either weapon is fine for Dornikal honestly. I think every magical weapon is in someone's hands, without doubling. We have other items to spread around, but not weapons. We have five total, the two swords Randy just got, the healing dagger (Coljin), the Victorious blade (Tess) and Gordon's lance (Gordon). The trade for the weapons was +/- 0 as we traded two magical weapons for two magical weapons.))

(( I don't believe Tess has paid her respects to the Tree yet? Holger and/or Randy was going to go with her when she did. ))

Holger reluctantly hugs the tree but tries not to let it show, he never imagined he'd be a tree hugger.

Holger will go with Tess into the guild.

(( My, my! Holger is getting all sorts of opportunities for character growth with this side trip! ))

((Zokk staying with Dornikal and Gordon?))

(Zokk is following Holger for the day, as they promised him to help find teeth. And they want to be near their grandparent.

Zokk also doesn't have magic weapons, but they have their limbs which will be magic next level.)

Tess, being an old hand at it by now, approaches the front door, and Holger and Zokk see her steps lengthen and outpace them as she arrives at the front door while they are still walking up the walk... though as they keep walking, they don't seem to be getting any closer...

”Sheeeee iiis faaaast.” Zokk tries to close distance by running full speed twoards Tess.

It's certainly drawing a lot of attention from the street. The guy Dornikal is keeping an eye on seems to be signaling to someone else as they all watch a tree running in place just inside the entrance to the wizard guild.

((Is the guy aware Dornikal is watching him and did Gordon bring his lance?))

((Can't remember if badge said he was or not.))

Dornikal absently reaches into the bag of holding and pulls out the clockwork amulet and puts it on. He keeps an eye on the man while looking for whomever he is signaling as inconspicuously as physically possible.

Stealthy watching?: 1D20+3 = [20]+3 = 23


((Guessing he doesn't recognize the fellow else you'd have asked for a roll?))

Gordon totally brought his Lance... And is now sitting on a bench as idly as one can while holding one.

Then the guy has definitely been looking at the two of you, but seems to be focusing on the bald little guy struggling to lug around a lance.

((Dornikal didn't spot who the guy was signaling? Any guards about?))

”Hmmmmmm....” Zokk stops and stares at the opening, so close but so far away. They root one of their legs to the ground and stretches their other leg to the door opening.

"Holger, you have to knock! Magically."

Zokk extends a leg, but when they shift their weight to it, they are no closer to the door.

(( Just let me know when Randy shows back up in town.))

”Maaaagiicc knooock? ....Whaaat iiis knoock?” Zokk thinks a bit.

Randy traipses up the coastal road as the sun is warming the morning. A small pebble clatters across the roadway in front of him, coming from his right, where a small wooded grove rests a short distance from the roadway. There aren't any other travelers nearby, though there are a few wagons approaching the south gate in the distance.

Dornikal follows the sight-line of the signaling fellow, and picks out the fellow he's signaling... who in turn gestures up the street and out of sight. He doesn't spot any guards, but the boots the first fellow is wearing are of an identical make to the boots he observed on all of the guards that he accompanied underground yesterday.

The gears in Dornikal's brain turn slowly before he relaxes and rubs his brow feeling a headache coming on. He whispers,

"Dumathoin help meh."

He looks over at Gordon and pantomimes putting down the lance and then pulls out a ration and fishes out the sweet bits. He will reward Gordon with some dried fruit should the lance be laid on the ground before pointing out the tree run-dancing in place for Gordon to watch.

He will keep an eye on the undercover-guard situation and keep giving Gordon fruit bits as long as he leaves the lance on the ground.

Randy warily slows to a halt, unsheathes his rapier, and equips his shield. He then begins to detour to the left around the grove, keeping a close eye on it and the surrounding territory. "Better safe than sorry." he mutters.

Gordon props the Lance down such that it is on the ground and leaning against the bench, but with one hand still firmly on it. He finds himself unwilling to let go or let out of sight the only thing he feels some connection with. Once the Lance is lowered into this position, he holds out his hand eagerly.

An arm and hand emerge from the grove, palm towards Randy in a halting, non-threatening gesture, before urgently beckoning him over.
