This is the second thread on this, and I can't find MinMax in that comic. I see two figures that look sort of like him, but neither is close enough to make me think it was meant to be him.

Bottom right, next to the lady in the red hat.

It's a costume, not MinMax himself, so the skin color's wrong, but there's the eyebrows, bald head, the marked right eye, and at least a stab at imitating MM's armor.

I don't see what other figure could be confusing you -- after spotting Sam Starfall bottom center, MM kind of leaped out at me.

Agreed - I immediately picked out MM in the crowd, went over here to post about it, only to see that I'd been soundly beaten to the punch.

The guy in the top panel with the gold beard is colored like Minmax, although the eye is off. He also has that classic MinMax attitude.

Maybe he's a regular--It's been a while since I tackled Girl Genius. And that strip is not exactly known for realistic use of colors.

Freefall, a sci-fi comic.
Sam is the only one of his kind who made it to space, and notoriously known to defy rules and authorites.
A captain of a broken starship, in need of repairs, he uses his knowledge to "find" an engineer to help him, which is Florence, a "Bowman wolf" ( an AI).

The story drew me in months ago.....
(not reading gilgenious though, saw the cameo on twitter, looked at the image, identified "MinMax", found it "lacking", went away. Am disappointed that I did not see Sam Starfall when I looked at the image....)

I'm sure if we knew enough, we could identify all the costumes and the strips they come from.
