Well, since it seems like we've been split up quite evenly, let's have Lurn come in from the west, so we're arriving from all quarters. In the... I dunno, let's say mid-afternoon. A traveling cleric has no need for haste.
Also, I like Thinks' suggestion for the perception problem. Mostly because my solution would've been "Have him lose an eye early on so that he only has a mortal's sight."

I will try and get a post up tonight in the main forum to start the game up and move the relevant information here to an OOC page as well.

Go ahead and roll for stats, pick a race, class, name and general background. For the stats you can choose to take the standard 15,14,13,12,10,8 or roll 4d6 and drop the lowest die 6 times (4d6.HIGH(3) in Coyote 6 times).
Let's stick with the system everyone is familiar with as far as posting rolls in the forum (Coyote or other is fine).

World wise, assuming you're joining Joe (Burns), or the rest of us, and not starting a couple countries over, the land we are in is very elf centric. Other races are tolerated to varying degrees, but just so you're aware that there may be some NPC pushback. Other races aren't quite treated like second class citizens, but elves hold the power and wealth where we are currently.

Quarg and I chatted a bit about race choices last night, but it is good to note that about the setting. We did cover that the monstrous races are not going to be well received and warforged don't exist.
