Also, if you're trying to follow Lewis, you'll have to roll perception and acrobatics for yourself.

Lewis is able to keep track of the Goblin as it flies through the forest surrounding the trail, moving as fast as it's little legs can carry it.

Calrick was just trying to catch sight enough to cast the spell, if he can't see him, he's not going to go running off into the woods on his own, but will tell Lewis to trail it and see where it goes, then fly back and report.

He looks over to the downed Kryz. "Oh dear... that doesn't look good."

He bravely dashes back to the wagon.

When the last gobiln turns to flee, Saca goes over to Kryz and casts cure wounds on him.

Cure wounds result for Kryz: 1D8+3 = [7]+3 = 10

She then goes and frisks the goblins for loot and gets her bolts back.

Balin also pats them down, double checking to make sure that nothing got missed.

Aimee smiles at everyone and says,

"See! We are a great team of guards!"

She then starts prodding a dead goblins, looking in the mouths and at their hands.

"Too bad we couldn't get one alive, but still!"

Looking at the horses,

"Hey! Don't these look like Gundren' and Sildar's horses? Think they got got?" She ponders it briefly, "Ah well, we weren't guarding them. Someone help me move these we're almost there! I think!"

She grabs a horse leg and pulls ineffectually.

Calrick climbs back to into the cart, leaving the looting and the like to the others, and keeps trying to check in with Lewis.

As saca revives him, Kryz sits up with a start:

'Hey! There's an ambush! Look out!"

Balin and Saca go to loot the goblins, but don't find anything on their corpses but warn out leather armor, two slightly rusty swords, and the bows with a few arrows left in the quiver. Balin can confirm that the arrows match the ones sticking out of the horses. The horses seem to have been killed a day ago at most.

Meanwhile, Calrick is seeing a different view. He closes his eyes and is suddenly transported to farther in the forest. He sees himself about 30 feet up, following a goblin along a small, almost imperceptible trail, heading North. Unfortunately, before the Goblin gets to his final location, the bond between Calrick and Lewis grows faint because of distance, and he cannot see through Lewis's eyes anymore.

Balin takes one of ropes out and ties a few loops behind the horses front legs and then makes a bigger loop running out past their heads. He climbs into the big loop and starts to pull the horses out of the road.

Aimee continues pulling on the horse leg to help Balin then stops,

"Wait, you think we will still be paid if Gundren is dead?"

She looks at the wagon then smiles,

"We still have the stuff so we can sell it and get our money!"

She returns to pulling.

Balin glowers at this. "We've signed a contract for delivery, magician. Honor demands we see it through. IF there's no one left to take delivery, THEN we can consider what to do with the wagon. Until then, we keep our word."

((Remember, Balin is a Lawful Good DWARVEN cleric. He won't budge on this. Word given is word kept. ))

"Might be worthless for all we know anyway. I think I'd rather get paid properly." Kryz grumps, sitting down on one of the dead horses.

With both Balin and Aimee pulling on the horse together, it ever so slowly moves a few inches. But it's clear that they will either need help, or at least take a moment to recover their strength from the battle before pulling.

"Magician?"

Aimee looks at Cal then realizes Balin means her.

"Oh me! No, just an academic! But if we don't get paid then the contract is broke right? Then we get the stuff?"

She steps back and blows the horses leg off with Eldritch blast.

"Easier in pieces, watch out Kryz!"

"Messier, you mean."
Balin signals for Aimee to hold off for a minute. "We don't need a bunch of blood to spook our horses."
He goes back to the cart, unhitches the horses and brings them around to in front of the one with the rope. He then hitches the rope to them and begins to lead them so that they pull the dead horse of the road. Once the one horse is out of the way, he leads the two cart horses ( hence forth known as Dumbledee and Dumbledor) a little ways off and hobbles them so they don't wander. He then goes back to the other dead horse and rigs it up. Rinse and repeat.
Once done he hooks 'Dee and 'Dor back up to the wagon.

Aimee prestidigitates away the blood mess and give Balin her 'see no mess' hand wave!

"Your way is faster though and we need to check if we are getting paid or getting a wagon!"

She climbs back into her spot in the wagon, sits down and opens her book.

From the back of his deceased mount, Kryz allows himself to be dragged to the side of the road on the dead horse.

"No point delivering anything if the guy getting it is dead. But he isn't here, that I can see. Do goblins kidnap people or just eat them? I can never remember..."

"A day or two. Might be good to find and take care of those goblins just so they don't cut our throats when we're sleeping."
Balin starts trying to track the goblins.
