It's just there's so much going on all the time and when there isn't my mind is thinking of what could be going on and I sometimes mix the two. But, honestly, I do want to see your other Pokemon as well. I'm sure he's just as cool as all the others, cooler, even. Here, I'll put Mr Robot Voice away in my pocket. Quickly stepping out of the way of the dive bombing pokemon Phil reaches down picks up a rock and putting it in his sling he launches it at the purplish pokemon.

Its okay Were both new, Annabelle agrees rather quickly, though if its because she believes that, or just wants to avoid conflict is hard to tell with her.

ÔÇ£Oh, thatÔÇÖs fairÔǪÔÇØ she agrees, scanning Valant. Strangely, the girlÔÇÖs Pok├®Dex is even quieter than she is, the screen only lighting up to display the same text as Bennet has seen, but without the audible random fact to go with it. ÔÇ£Oh! He wonÔÇÖt get any bigger unless you want him to, Bennet!ÔÇØ Annabelle offers excitedly. ÔÇ£It says he needs a rock to becomeÔǪÔÇØ she squints at her screen, ÔÇ£Simisear.ÔÇØ

She looks at Maggie, scanning her herself, then smiles shyly at Bennet, ÔÇ£Oh, heÔÇÖs certainly cooler. Come on out, Willy!ÔÇØ

A small brown Pok├®mon with darker brown stripes on its back appears, ÔÇ£Nub.ÔÇØ

You can scan him if you want to, Bennet Just ask first, Annabelle offers once shes crouched down and scanned her second Starter herself.

Well, they generally try to make their way to best cut down on the sandstorms Nurse Hecuba offers, taking a few moments to pull up more information. Yes, the caravan due on 4th Day will come down from the Doduo Mountains to None, then go northwest to the Beaches or Grasslands there. It will make its way to Sext, then Compline before returning to Prime, where it is left from a week or two ago. She pulls up more information, The expected path for the one on 7th Day will approach from the south, from the shoreline, through the Doduo Mountains, past Prime, over to Vespers and then Yes, it is disbanding in Terce.

The woman doesnÔÇÖt mention any smaller settlements, but most people donÔÇÖt bother. Nothing is that permanent in the Wilds except for the Laboratory and Cities.

The Nurse looks up at Richard as he finishes whatever notes he wanted to take, ÔÇ£Is there anything else you need?ÔÇØ

Sea-spray allows herself to be picked up without complaint, and Viction finds that sheÔÇÖs heavier than she looks. Nevertheless, the new Trainer is able to find a way to sit the Panpour on her shoulders thatÔÇÖs not too uncomfortable. At least for the moment.

Decided on a new name? ThatÔÇÖs fine. Though sheÔÇÖs supposed to be Quiet as her Nature. (Yes, that makes a difference in the setting. ItÔÇÖs part of the trade-off as to why Trained Pok├®monÔÇÖs stats are better, but their health is lower than Wilds. Pok├®Balls accent the Nature that a Wild was displaying when Captured [unless a Feature allows you to effect that], so TrainerÔÇÖs Pok├®mon are more one dimensional, but stronger as a result. [Yes, I overthink everything, why do you ask? ]) IÔÇÖll chalk to VictionÔÇÖs perception of how the Pok├®mon looks, rather than how she is. Maybe the fact that sheÔÇÖs not speaking up makes her seem defiant?

Panpours are also nearly 30 lbs. At 11 STR you can carry her for a while, but not forever.

Please put quotation marks around speech in your posts. The colour youve selected just blends into the background (I also need the rolls I requested in the OOC thread, please.)

And I think thatÔÇÖs all the nits.

Oh, one last one: I never ever make presumptions about where a PC is going. This is in large part due to my random rolling for encounters. Is Viction staying near the City for now, or heading into the Marshland at large?

I ask not because it makes a difference on what you'll meet, but it does effect the frequency and strength of encounters.

Chuck leaves his pack and the Pok├®Ball on the ground and rushes over to help his Starter, throwing his shoulder into the yellow ÔÇÿmon and causing it to let out a grunt before retuning ScorchÔÇÖs Leer with one of its own.

Left on its own, the Clefairy sniffles and tries to wipe away its tears, though some of them have frozen to its face. Getting to its feet, it moves around the bit of food the Human offered, and the sphere there, then to the pack, where it proceeds to try and figure out how to open it while Chuck and Scorch are occupied with the new arrival.

ÔÇ£Pour,ÔÇØ Aqua offers with a shake of her head, falling into step beside her Trainer as they head out into the Desert. She has no way to produce water.

Before they even leave the City, two balls of sand start moving towards him. At first, Richard might suspect itÔÇÖs just the wind pushing them around, but then he sees that both the half-foot bundle of sand and the one thatÔÇÖs about a foot bigger have black heads.

Sea-spray lands lightly on her feet and blinks at her Trainer, following as Viction moves through and then out of the City.

About an hour outside of Sext, the Viction spots movement to the west in the form of a plant with an overly large head, mobbing its round, yellow body with red and green vines.

Chuck, realizing that the enemy is intent on attacking Scorch and mostly ignoring him decides to try and end the battle quickly, before Scorch gets hurt. If this doesn't work, hit it with all you've got. Chuck lobs a PokeBall at the yellow PokeMon.

"Thanks, Annabelle!" Bennet says, scanning the Swinub. "Coool! It's going to become one of those big Mamoswine from that TV special about the ancient world! Awesome! And Valant doesn't evolve unless we get a Stone? Well that's Ok. We can always try to find one if we want. If Valant wants to evolve. Although that Simisear sounds cool, but not as cool as Valant is right now!"

Bennet scratches the Pansear on the head at this. "So, Annie, Where did you want to go? Like I was saying before, I was thinking of going out on the mountain towards the forest and maybe staying there for a few days. Do you have camping gear and food and stuff? If not, we can stick around here."

Annabelle looks at her Swinub and holds up his Pok├®Ball, ÔÇ£Come on back, Willy. I canÔÇÖt watch both of you at the same time and Maggie was first.ÔÇØ

Once Willy disappears into the beam of red light and his ÔÇÿBall is safely on his TrainerÔÇÖs belt, Annie turns to look at Bennet, shifting the pack on her back from shoulder to shoulder. ÔÇ£For about four days, yes,ÔÇØ she agrees. ÔÇ£ThatÔÇÖs all I could afford.ÔÇØ

With Simisear and Buizel for company, the pair start to head out of the City, not knowing that the faint footsteps they see in the snow belong to Phil Robinson, who left the City not even a half hour earlier.

1st Day, First Month, 1694

Scorch nods and watches as the Pok├®Ball flies through the air, and the yellow thing spins, sticking it squarely with its foot.

The ÔÇÿBall doesnÔÇÖt seem to care at all as it opens, sucks the creature into itself and drops to the snow. The indication light on the top glows a steady red for a second before fading away. The thing didnÔÇÖt even bother to shake.

The Clefairy nudges the clear thing with the mostly white thing in it out of its way and snags one of the square white things. Shoving the whole tasty-smelling thing into its mouth, the Wild then turns and starts to toddle back the way it came. Still sniffling and rubbing the cold out of its arms.

Of course, Scorch hears the small sound of nails on glass, and turns, dashing to intercept the little thief. The Wild Clefairy turns to get away from the Pansear's mean look and finds itself surrounded by stone walls. Turning, it takes the food from its mouth and scarfs it down. "Fairy..." it whimpers, watching the fire monkey carefully.

The PansageÔÇÖs head nods to quickly and so firmly that it seems like it might rattle right off his neck. LiÔÇÖl Green silently follows his Trainer and, once theyÔÇÖre a minute or two away, sends Klif a wide, relieved grin.

Having learnt the wisdom of knowing when to bow out of a fight before it has even begun, Klif Clarkson finally understands those lessons his Sensei kept trying to knock into him.

When Richard points his PokDex at the bigger one, it tenses up and a shimmering, yellow sphere appears around it. It doesnÔÇÖt appear to have done any harm, and a quick glance at the PokDex shows that itÔÇÖs processing the information.

At her TrainerÔÇÖs command, Aqua simply nods ones, keeping her attention on the two Wilds.

The smaller Pok├®mon gives a short hop to land between Richard and the large one, looking up at the Human and swaying slightly, as if mocking him. Thankfully, itÔÇÖs not in AquaÔÇÖs Nature to jump into conflict, so the Panpour simply watches, following the directions to look for signs of attack.

"Alright! I can't believe we're finally on the road! At least...What there is of it." Bennet will say, indicating the thick snow as they trudge along in the general direction of the forest. "So...Annie, what do you want to do with your Pokemon? I want to use them to make more friends with more Pokemon and make cool things like neat devices and MECHA SUITS!" That last is almost a shout.

Annabelle blinks and tilts her head to the side, listening as Bennet speak. Yes-Yes U su-suppose that could be nice, she replies softly. I just want to get to know Maggie and Willy better, though more friends would be nice.

The pair carry on in relative silence for about three and a half hours, according to their Pok├®Dexes, Annabelle just quietly listening whenever Bennet decides to share his plans.

In the distanceÔÇöeasily seen for quite a distance, in factÔÇöare two large red forms, easily over ten feet tall each. Near the red ÔÇÿmons are three silver specks (at least in comparison). Bennet and Annabelle are too far to scan the Pok├®mon yet, and much too far to make out any details about the three silver ones.

1st Day, First Month, 1694

ÔÇ£Gliscor, the night terror. When a Gligar is introduced to a Razor Fang under the correct conditions, it evolved into a Gliscor.ÔÇØ PhilÔÇÖs Pok├®Dex chirps out, just as the teen flings his stone at the Gliscor.

PhilÔÇÖs aim is true, but the Pok├®mon turns at the last moment, turning it into a glancing blow.

While the Gliscor may not have been seriously injured, and continued towards the PansageÔÇöflicking its tail swiftly to send a stinger to strike the Grass Type in the chest where it gets stuck in his Paul's furÔÇöthe two Pok├®mon who had been circling the third dive down to join the fray. This is clearly no long a Single Combat. Both flap their wings quickly, sending some of the sand from the path flying towards the Human. The first wave hits Phil square in the eyes, causing him to instinctively turn awayÔǪ directly into the path of the second stream of sand.

Paul, standing behind his Trainer, is clear of the sand, but the Pansage runs past Phil and leaps up at not only the Gliscor, but also one of the violet Pok├®mon. While his claws strike both, the smaller Pok├®mon managed to pull partly out of its dive, causing the claws to glance over its exoskeleton.

The third of the smaller Pok├®mon continues to just hover above, as if it has not yet grasped the events which have taken place below.

ÔÇ£Burm?ÔÇØ the smaller counters, glancing over its shoulder at the large Wild before turning to look at Ricahrd. ÔÇ£Burmy?ÔÇØ

It leans forward to sniff towards the food, the black antenna on its head twitching with each sniff.

For the moment, Aqua is content to just watch the exchange and trust in her TrainerÔÇÖs judgement.

AnnabelleÔÇÖs eyes are wide as frying pan, as beach balls, as beach-ball-sized-frying-pans, and she does begin to shake her head, but seeing the disappointment starting to appear in her friendÔÇÖs eyes, she swallows once, glances at Maggie, grips her Pok├®Dex tightly and nods. ÔÇ£We wonÔÇÖt get anywhere if we turn away from everything that might be scary, right?ÔÇØ she offer. ÔÇ£ Plus, the Gym Leaders wouldnÔÇÖt let anything too dangerous get close to the City. Right?ÔÇØ

Okay, so her voice squeaked at that last bit, but itÔÇÖs the thought that counts, right?

The pair of Trainers and their Pok├®mon start to make their way quietly towards the five Wilds, but Annabelle manages step directly upon a frozen puddle, hidden beneath the snow. A loud ÔÇ£CRACK!ÔÇØ follows the moment, as well as the blush racing through the girlÔÇÖs face to her ears once more.

Ahead, five heads turn towards the pair of Humans. They are near enough to see that the three smaller forms appear to be some sort of type of insect, though one canÔÇÖt always be sure with Pok├®mon. If itÔÇÖs even possible, the two ratherÔǪlarge Pok├®mon, bulks sinking into the snow beneath them, seem to be annoyed by the smaller Pok├®monÔÇÖs antics, though Bennet canÔÇÖt see any injuries from where heÔÇÖs standing.

Scorch sends Chuck a ÔÇ£youÔÇÖre seriousÔÇØ look before taking the food and moving towards the Wild, holding it out between two fingers.

ÔÇ£Phan?ÔÇØ the Pok├®mon offers, extending its trunk and sniffing not only the offering but the Pansage behind it. ÔÇ£Phanpy!ÔÇØ it trumpets, causing Scorch to send his Trainer yet another look of long suffering as his ears twitch.

A moment later, unless Trainer or Pok├®mon do anything, the Wild plucks the food from ScorchÔÇÖs hand and moves it close to its mouth, taking small bites until itÔÇÖs all gone. ÔÇ£PhanPEE!ÔÇØ it trumpets again, not overly loudly but more like force of habit than anything else.

PhilÔÇÖs Pok├®Ball flies through the air, opens when it brushes against the hovering WildÔÇÖs tail, then fall, cracking fully open upon the frozen ground.

The two violet ÔÇÿmons who dove down to assist the Gliscor whip their tails forward, each sending a singer flying towards their respective targets, even as the Gliscor turns towards them, its tone scolding.

The first is about to strike Phil in the forearm as he follows through with his toss, but Paul leaps in the path of the attack, taking the damage instead, causing the second attack to miss the Pansage completely.

The hovering Pok├®mons looks around at the chaos, and starts to fly higher, moving away from the battle below.

ÔÇ£Wormadam. A master of evolution, a Wormadam becomes completely adapted to its chosen habitat, be it a Desert, Urban or wilder setting. {Note: This Wormadam is adapted to a Desert Habitat.}ÔÇØ RichardÔÇÖs Pok├®Dex offers, just as the boy sets down his offering.

This causes the smaller Pok├®mon to pause for a moment before leaning down and happily eating the food.

Both Aqua and the Wormadam continue to watch patiently.

The food quickly disappears down the small ball of sands mouth as it contently rumbles BurburBurMEEE to itself.

1st Day, First Month, 1694

"Bur..." the small Pok├®mon freezes as the Pok├®Dex is pointed at it, and when Richard's hand reaches for it, it bounces off of a bight yellow shield.

The small Pok├®mon seems a bit drained after that though, breathing noticibly more heavily than before. "Wor...Wormadam," the larger Pok├®mon coons, giving the smaller one another nudge in the back before it looks around at the various houses nearby, as if it might hear something.
