Card Game & Live Stream

Post by LooksAndSmiles » Tue May 14, 2013 2:17 pm

I'm sure most of you have read this post by Thunt.

Aside from the awesomeness it contains, it has an important part:
And finally, on Wednesday, May 15, 12:00 noon PDT (GMT -7) IÔÇÖll be doing a live broadcast here. Usually I draw during these broadcasts (or I goof around when I should be drawing) but this time IÔÇÖll be talking about how to play the game and showing some of the prototype cards I have. The chatroom connected to the live feed will let you ask me questions, yell at me, call me handsome, etc. I wear a headset that reads the chatroom to me in text-to-speech, so I can literally hear your questions.
PLEASE SOMEONE RECORD THIS.

Thunt has the nasty habit of never recording anything, and I'm sure probably neither does anyone from the viewers. Given that probably there are many of us who can't be online at the time, I'm sure it would be much appretiated if someone cared. Or at least ask Thunt to record it, if you can't or won't do it.

Please?

Thunt is the only one who can directly record the channel. Otherwise, you'd have to have a browser addon capable of saving/recording streaming video, and I'm not sure what will. (For every person who says "use this one," there's someone who says "it doesn't work!") Hopefully, though, since this is a special broadcast designed to promote the kickstarter, he'll be recording it. May have to remind him, just to be sure.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

Hey, if you guys don't know i'm Brad one of the co designers on the game.

Just so everyone who will be missing the live stream knows, (i'm included in that list) I'll be hosting a Q&A on these here forums later this week to help address any questions that come up and ones that I'm sure you all have already. It will cover lots of stuff, but I'm mostly going to focus on rules and mechanic questions

If you haven't already seen, I wrote a blog post about the design process and it's Over here. I'll be writing more in the coming weeks as well, so that should help get your brains primed and ready to go....

Well one question, which might be more for Thunt than anyone creating the game itself, is why the cover has characters that are not in the game itself...

GoblinSlayer might be included in a villain expansion, but he is not on the list of characters included in the basic game.

One question I'd have is if there are any rules for soloing the game.

I want a card game about the maze of many, and all the different FMK parties in there.

That sounds like a great idea for an expansion.

The game looks like a lot of fun, but I really wish I had some people around here to play with when it comes out. Any Goblins in San Diego?

My question is: As far as I know, helping a Kickstarter project overseas (I'm from Europe) means an additional cost of $50 shipping. Is there any cheaper way to do this legally, or do I have to ask someone to contribute in my name and send me the stuff if shipping is cheaper (with me sending my money to them)?

I'm asking this because I'd like to contribute, but I only have about 90$ total. If more than the half of it is gone due to shipping it's not even funny.

The base game will be around the $40 mark, and the Shield of Wonder extra cards will bring that to about $55 (they've been moved from a stretch goal to a higher pledge level). I'm not sure about shipping costs - for their last campaign Evertide specified $15 for overseas shipping but I'm pretty sure that was at a loss. They might choose to revise the shipping amount for this campaign.

I was sad, thinking I had missed the broadcast, but then I saw that he had recorded it! So I watch the whole hour and 45 minutes and enjoyed it, and now I want to go back and watch it again to further examine the game. BUT THE VIDEO IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. It vanished from the internet! What's the deal?
