The Elf, The Orc, and the Goblin
ÔÇ£Madam, please allow my associate to help you up onto deck with your tray so you can deal with your small friend thereÔÇØ states the merchant from his spot watching the entire room.
ÔÇ£Arg, please help the lady with her tray so she can get up onto the deckÔÇØ he orders Arg when (if) the Orc looks back at him. ÔÇ£I doubt the steward will have little problem supplying us with the bottle.ÔÇØ His hand indicating that heÔÇÖs sitting right next to the narrow bar. The steward nods to Arg and says, ÔÇ£I will drop the bottle off at your table in a moment.ÔÇØ
Aajej might find it intrusive, but the offered help is likely useful. It is a good ten feet from the narrow steps that lead out to the ships main deck. The deck to the ladder is empty except for a few short stands bolted to the floor. The steps of the ladder are angled so a four legged creature like Simoom can climb out onto the deck, but they also offer a wonderful hiding opportunity. The kurwaÔÇÖuuvanimo <crafted monster> likely smells funny to poor Simoom and really has no natural sound at all.

The crafted monster is obviously something created in the mind of a sorcerer of some sort and not any natural animal. (Although it looks like a couple of things found in nature) The snake body and bat wings, along with the grown saddle mark it as a creature created by someoneÔÇÖs imagination. Such crafted monsters do tend to be dangerous, since most people donÔÇÖt go about creating monsters to be family pets, but what powers beyond thought and talk this creature has: complete blank at the moment.
The steward steps out of ArgÔÇÖs way and then is moving towards the bar again. He seems to be unnaturally flexible and canny about it all, putting his feet where they step in no-one elses way and not on any tails of talking, flying snakes either. As he moves that way he states to Speaks, ÔÇ£Perhaps not, but you do realize that this contract has an Ascendathlon clause? Not a bad one for most performers but I doubt someone who can fly would get so little.ÔÇØ
The boat deck seems to sway slightly as the ferry changes course. The view framed by the stern window changes from a canal scene with ships lined up along both sides to that of the low fort that guards both the New Lighthouse as well as the Inner Harbor. One looking out can make out the warships lying at anchor under the fortress's protection while a vast number of trading ships lie in the Outer Harbor either tied to one of the docks or letting small boats carry goods out to them from the shore.
Jager
The steward is either very, very good or is using the runes in some manner to help himself maneuver around the room. Which right now seems a very expensive way to have good service, but then again who knows what kind of advantage it would offer if a brawl broke out.
Then you finally look at the cup of tea you were poured by the goblin. And realize that he poured you a full cup of the local tea which is brewed so strong it makes the coffee look weak. In general, the locals brew tea dark and then dilute it with fresh hot water out of an urn or a second pot. And it follows since that what you have, a top pot with tea sitting on a larger water pot. Obviously the goblin has not done much tea drinking locally or thought you drank it beyond dark.

Not sure what you were rolling about? Him not noticing you watching him? or just the attempt to watch him? IÔÇÖm assuming your sitting facing the stern so watching him out of your eye is sort of N/A
Makita
ValÔÇÖdar sends Arg off to help some lady up onto the deck. He then focuses again on you. ÔÇ£You spent too much time having your knob polished by all those lithe ladies in the camp [I donÔÇÖt have to explain this do I?] rather than go to boring owl [roll for memory] lectures eh?ÔÇØ
He leans back for a moment and shakes his head.
 The peace has screwed with Brosnar [Note below] and his League of Tribes in one wonderful way, his attempt to bring in all that tribal refuse of Orcs and half-orcs back into the fold has hit the normal obstinate wall of Orc traditionalists. The tribal chiefs will only allow half-orcs to be servants in the League, and the full Orcs who were thrown out of a tribe, at least those who didnt join that Immortals Cohort before the end of the war, are now stuck with the League wanting them just as dead as their various tribes did before the League. Now Urgnach was given command of those Immortals and hes expanded it. But Orc membership is still restricted. And my companion doesnt have any of the sigils on himself that indicates he is an Immortal. This says I can trust him because hed never be able to get back to see Urgnach even if he was going to report me. Also the boy is working to get enough money to head back to the Empire, not trying to keep hanging around me Valdar then leans forward and whispers, Also by working with an Orc I of hide from Urgnachs attention. After all, how can his sworn enemies ever work with an Orc? He spreads his hands out and gets and evil grin on his face.
Right then the steward plops a dusty bottle of some light brown liquid down on the table. ValÔÇÖdar seems to eye it suspiciously, and even more so when the price of twenty five marks is announced.
Common Knowledge ÔÇô Everyone Knows This
Brosnar ÔÇ£The UniterÔÇØ is sort of the most famous Orc currently alive. Primarily, because he seems to have united many of the Orc Tribes in the North East Lands of the Ood and the Zood to work together. What was a typical little skirmish between the elves of the Northern Kingdoms and some expansionist Orc Tribes turned into a full wage war between BrosnarÔÇÖs new League of Tribes one side and the Empire and Northern Elven Kingdoms on the other.
Depending on your point of view, either the Elves and Empire won or the Orcs won.
