Oh. Well, more people is a good thing, we'll need to replace the two idiots who seem to want nothing more than to stubborn themselves to death.

Yeah, I think it's easy to see how the first group of sparks that were only slightly mind wiped ended up killing each other off so soon...nikohl wrote:Oh. Well, more people is a good thing, we'll need to replace the two idiots who seem to want nothing more than to stubborn themselves to death.

Re: Surviving Castle Heterodyne - OOC Discussion Thread
So just so you guys know, I'm fully aware that this whole rivalry/conflict with Sam is stupid - and I feel really bad for preventing Badge from playing how he wants-, but August simply can't let this go.
I'll try to give some context to his thought-process, without rambling on too much.
August only wants to keep Sam from getting harmed/killed, and is genuinely convinced that he knows better what to do than the others. From his view Sam is recklessly endangering his life, and can't accurately estimate the danger of the castle.
If Sam were to die, he would blame himself for not keeping him from going out.
Also, he is not used to dealing with other sparks except maybe at gun/swordpoint. He is used to interacting with civilians who would naturally defer to his experience and superior skill. However, in the castle most of his previous experience doesn't apply, he lost most of his skills and gear, and the people he is dealing with are quite capable of taking care of themselves.

Sounds like the perfect people to ...examine. Now to get both of them subdued... Now I do hope you do not mind me examining you for problems, right? You would not even have to worry about Sam anymore either after I take care of him.

You're staying true to the character, Alaen. This is how party dynamics works sometimes. As has been pointed out, most of us are a lot more sane and level-headed than sparks are supposed to be. We'll get it hashed out somehow. It'll be interesting.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

I think Burns character will be making up for a good bit of the lack of insanity....

I hope what my char did works, i prefer non-lethal solutions. Kind of like Foglios do it most of the time in the original comic.

My character is not insane, honest. If he was he would use some of that stuff on himself and that won't do.Quarg wrote:I think Burns character will be making up for a good bit of the lack of insanity....

Congratulations: Hiero, August you've gained an enemy for life.
Sam still loves you Gabe, so no worries.
As for you Burns....if you try to experiment on Sam..you will find yourself suddenly needing to make a new character.

well...in that case, It would seem that Sam needs to find a new place to live by himself...Perhaps, if he can encourage the moss to grow effectively enough, he will move into what was once the rat room. And then work on making a door that will lock.

*I* thought it was perfect... though perhaps not as non-lethal as you intend...

You know i was kidding about experimenting on you right? Killing what potentially could aid him to create perfection is not a good idea. Unless deemed as a threat.

Looks like I should be able to get another update in later today since I have actions for everyone (Gabe will return to his previous task, unless Wears says otherwise).

Yeah I'm still gonna kill you. Only room for one anatomy/taxidermy spark, Dr Ayreslea-Sleight has an inferiority complex and doesn't like to be upstaged. Don't worry, I may reanimate you as a giant rat/bee creature who will be my thrall, so you'll still have something to do.
