"What are ye two going to do when we get back to the east?"
Galt scratches at the puckered scar around his missing eye. "Depends on what Szartha's next move is. He gave me a place... This trip turned out ill, but if he means to rebuild, he'll need help."
Tren sighs. "Part of me wants to just find a job doing something simple... serving ale, mucking out stables... but the rest of me knows I'd be going batty within the month. I'll stay on if Szartha'll have me."
Galt looks at her, "Neither one of us is equal to Hagorth, but between the two of us... maybe.."
She nods, "I'm sure he'd be glad to have you... but this job was just a means to an end for you." She holds up a hand to forestall any objections. "Not saying you weren't giving it your all, Preacher, but I don't see you spending your life guarding caravans."
Dornikal vanishes into the night, intent on heading to the far end of the canyon.
Randy decides against trying to do the same, and he and
Maji ponder other approaches.
((Dim light would be seen in shades of grey, and wild shape should result in a form that's within a standard deviation of your average example of that beast. Eg, not goats with 6 ft horns. You've had mutton, so I'm fine with "sheep" being on your list.))
Coljin gives a through search of the cave, turning up a pair of missed gold pieces, but everything seems to have been well searched... other than the "latrine". It's of a size that a gnome not wearing armor might be able to squeeze down, but well... it's covered in the sort of stuff a latrine tends to be covered in, and too narrow and dark to see what is beyond. It looks that at one point there may have been a passage, that had since collapsed, leaving only a slit wide enough to squat over.
