3-6 months is optimistic in my experience. ^^ Kudos to you if you stick to that schedule.

Pretty sure there are boxes that we intended to 'sort' through when we moved into our current apartment 11 years ago. Probably an indication that any such boxes can just be pitched at this point.

So, how exactly do I process a short rest? I think I can get 1 hit die back in HP for it. I'm assuming in Saca's case that's a D8. Anything else?

Did Sam confirm at a short rest was possible?
You also add your CON bonus, so Saca would get 1d8+2.
At higher levels, you'll be able to use as many HD as you want to roll, but after a long rest, only regain up to half your HD.

Speaking of alignment, I put Aimee in as chaotic neutral but I don't really pay attention to that when I play Aimee. She has a personality and reacts based on her past experiences and upbringing. She is definitely more chaotic than either Dornikal or Varsk.Lurks_In_Shadows wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 1:08 am (( Mr. By-the-rules is going to be feeling obligated to make sure things get done the way they're supposed to. @Gathers
Just to add a bit to my concentration on a spell explanation (which wasn't relevant). When you get hit you need to roll a constitution save that is the higher of 10 or half the damage taken. So if you get hit by a goblin for 3 damage the save is 10, if you get hit by a troll for 22 (and you don't die
) the saving roll would be 11.

No stress at all. We have a hurricane pointed our way anyway, so not sure what our power / internet situation will be like next week.

Saw that on the news. NWS/Hurricane Center was talking that it could be a category 4 by the time it makes landfall. If it does, don't screw around. Just get out of the way.

We're good and well prepped for it all. Just watching the tracks at the moment and we have a variety of places to hunker down in
well make a call on final plans over the weekend, but right now we're just watching the maps and prepping the whisky and DND dice for when the power goes out. We're not super worried. We're taking it seriously, but this isn't Irma.

I got my threads mixed, and thought you were talking about us going over the goblin encampment wall. It seemed overly optimistic and positive given the slap dash approach we're employing!thinkslogically wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 7:42 pm We're good and well prepped for it all. Carelessly. In another game we are leaping over a wall into a hobgoblin run encampment, with very little plan after that.

ooooh, sounds like a splendid tactical maneuver. ^^ Here's hoping there isn't a staked pit-fall trap on the other side.

I know that this makes Balin sound rather mercenary, but a contract is a contract. This is the flip side of lawful characters: agreements are to be adhered to.

Re: The Lost Mines of Phandelver OOC
Agreement was to guard and deliver goods, goods have been guarded and delivered. Letter and spirit of the agreement is met. Shopkeep is gonna have to pony up.

Re: The Lost Mines of Phandelver OOC
But the agreement was with Gundren, not the shopkeep. So he's not responsible for the merchandise.

what kind of bonus would I get for boosting the voice for an intimidation roll? Never mind, I just did the roll without that and I'm going to leave it to Sam's judgement how impressed they are going to be by the booming voice.

This sets us up to never be paid if Gundren is dead... Not trying to stop the game for greed, 10 gold is chump change!spiderwrangler wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2019 3:15 pm Also, "Equipment will be inventoried before payment."
