I assume the last-minute rushed ‘technically this was posted last month’ pages are to keep to a minimum Patreon schedule? I don’t know what kind of pledges she has but that must be it, right?

It's not super clear what is going on in this last pane. I don't think it matters much though. Seems like a very low stakes situation, story-wise.
I just thought there would have been more humans here to fight, given how those half obscured people, at least to me, suggested a larger group of abstract size.
