A second page for the month. Not a whole lot happening except more grandiose talk from the baddie and the Kliks doing... Something to help.

Page of disjointed battle stuff happening. Not much of consequence. Everything is happening in closeup, while I feel I really need a overview.

It is a spell, pick an element to become resistant to for 1 hour. So that much makes sense. But it feels like a page that should have been followed up rather immediately with another one because there's nothing really of value to take in here.

Also, forgot to mention it, but the comments from the baddie feels... Weird. "Dry humped the heart of stars". I mean I'd expect it from one of the player characters. But it feels out of place coming from whatever that thing is.

I was surprised to see another comic so soon.

Panel 1: Not much to say, standard battle shit-talking

Panel 2: Cool to see how Forgath's 'new' weapon can reshape itself as his Holy Symbol. Awkward wording of "For Minmax", since spells are usually just stated as the name, but meh. I can forgive it.

Panel 3: Uhhhh.... that is certainly some shit-talking. More something I would expect from a Player-Character, but I don't even know remotely what this thing is, so maybe it has some... multiversal knowledge, and has gained this manner of speaking?

I think I'm just trying to come up with an excuse for what looks like poor writing to me? I mean, this feels like it's been happening for a while now, and I haven't really been able to put my finger on what specifically was the issue I was having (ignoring the update pace, obviously).

I guess we'll see how it goes from here, but I'm not super optimistic.

EDIT: You know what? Thinking on it, and the backstory for the comic, I'm not as surprised by the Demon-thing. Herbert is the DM, and he is a HORRIBLE DM. So a Demon shit-talking using that vernacular is not that surprising.

I mean, we literally had him sending fourth-wall-breaking Demons after Minmax/Forgath when they complained about their quests in the early comics.

Isn't it a shame how out of all the places talking about this comic the official forum is the last one to report a new page being up?

This creature didn't look as big in the first pages. Also this is the first time we see spell's target be specified in the dialogue.

To be fair, the official forum isn't well known at this point; I don't think there's even a link to it on the website anymore. I had to use google to find the URL recently.

We where left drifting after support of the platform became troublesome and stuff moved to discord. The tone has become more concerned since this shift.

Elli had some arguments with trolls way back before her breakdown/leave of absence. I don't really remember what they were about.

Elli had said she was going to put up a link to the forums, but then she had a major panic attack thinking about it, and that was the end of that.

This has been a very chaotic weekend for Elli. She ran out of money and went into overdraft, but is also shopping for two diamond engagement rings, then she managed to shoot out a page update after pulling an overnighter, and now seems to be blackmailed by someone on discord who is threatening to share her nude images online publicly, despite those pictures already being online publicly from her twitter and the OF she's been advertising is literally free of charge for anyone to see at no cost. Not sure how the blackmailer thought that would be an effective threat
It must truly be exhausting to be in her shoes.

Hilariously bad engagement ring decisions when considering your financial situation issues aside, that's a very awful situation to be in, regardless of if I agree with whatever Elli does as a person. Hope it'll work out.

Apparently there's a fake Elli, my lovelies. So if you find yourself in that common situation where you're standing in front of two of me and yelling "BUT WHICH ONE DO I SHOOT?!", shoot the one that updates the comic on time. That's the fake one.

At least the systems apparently removed the fake one quite quickly again. ('t was possibly a bot replying to the "I am broke" with a fake account and a Kofi+paypal)

Yet another promised game Elli didn't follow through on?

Yeah.. Since I can't follow any of her livestreams (different timezone), I didn't check that at all.

But she likely just had an idea for a game and wanted to test it further with the few that watch.
And the intention doesn't seem to be to make money, even though she did add a "donations accepted".
She just had the experience, that providing something like a game, more people come to watch and listen.
And that was motivating for her.

But I presume the positioning the middle of the forest doesn't lend itself to proper streaming.
So she again didn't follow it up properly.
